you miss the point, of course. Nearly ALL NIE's contain caveats and qualifiers. Certainly every one that had to do with Saddam's WMD's did. Ergo, when Dubya said "THERE IS NO DOUBT", he was lying.

But then, you are also the dunce trying to assert that everyone else who declared Saddam HAD them did not use the same language of certainty. You know, words like "there is no doubt" and "he has".

did Obama know it to be false when he said it? If that can be proven, then yes, his statement was knowingly false, ergo a lie.

Bush certainly knew that there were caveats and qualifiers and doubts expressed in the NIE's... ergo, his statement was knowingly false and a lie.

you are misquoting me.... deliberately? probably. I have never said that Bush knew with certainty that they did NOT exist. I AM saying he DID know that there WAS NOT certainty that they DID exist. Claiming absolute certainty when absolute certainty did not exist was a lie.

And again... to the best of my knowledge, the only democrat who spoke in terms of absolute certainty about Saddam's supposed stockpiles was Al Gore and he made that statement after he was no longer in office. But... if anyone - democrat OR republican - DID state that there was absolute certainty, and they had seen the NIE's, then they were lying as well. The only guy who told those lies and then sent our troops into harm's way based upon those lies was Bush, however.

none but Gore said that their existence was an absolute certainty, however. And, I am proud to say that a majority of democrats in congress voted against the use of force resolution, whereas republicans were nearly unanimous in voting for it.

I am well aware that congress voted. But only a minority of democrats voted for it... that's the facts.... and I have absolutely no idea why the administration said that, other than the fact that there were conflicting reports and that one was the one they chose to go with. Do you really think that Romney was gonna win if that had said something else?
