A third healthcare option?

It's none of my business and you obviously don't have to answer but do you guys just not want to pay for cable or are you not big TV watchers?

I'm not trying to imply there is anything wrong with not having cable I just don't run into many people who don't have it is all.

I grew up without cable, or a hook-up of any kind. During middle school, we had a TV my grandma gave us, and with the aide of mickey-mouse ears I could pick up FOX and WB. This allowed me to get home from school and watch Fresh Prince of Bel-Air followed by Boy Meets World. Meanwhile I could watch Batman Beyond (awesome cartoon IMO), Batman, Superman, and Pokemon.

The first place I had a continual access to cable was in the breakroom at work. I was astounded at the action-paced graphics of cable news. It was like a special effects extravaganza. News on the radio is just boring by comparison.

Stop babbling, man! The videos are on display on the thread and can be accessed. The link to the website is viable, if it wasn't you would say so in no uncertain terms...so it's logical to deduce that you just didn't read it, and refused to watch the videos.

Bottom line: YOUR pattern of intellectual cowardice and dishonesty has once again apparent.
Why can't you just be like every other poster and be specific with your assertion, then provide a link to back it up? Why do you expect me to guess at what you are asserting?

Yours is a rather odd method of debate. :palm:

No biggie. :) My husband and I watch very little TV. In fact, he never watches anything, not even football. He gets movies, or downloads shows on the computer. Since football season is over, I regularly watch two programs a week, House and 30 Rock. Also, you can get programs via Cast TV on the computer.

The kids would love to have cable but they each have a computer, plus their various game systems. There doesn't need to be a third distraction from school work!

I'm thinking we may get cable once everyone's out of high school.

I never had cable (actually satellite TV since cable isn't available to us hicks) until I was 25. I got it for a while and let it go. I pay for it now because after the switch from analog to digital signal I would get a sum total of 1....that's right, 1 "local channel." This opposed to 7 before the switch. I do like the added benefit of ESPN and some hunting and fishing networks....but I can afford the $70 or so a month.....for...for...(my dad is gasping now)...television. :)

That's another reason for me. When the switch came we got more channels via digital, so actually we've upgraded!

Once again, the chronology of the posts quite clearly demonstrates what was said, the responses and subsequent statements, answers and rebuttals.

Since you obviously have a grasp of English composition on an 8th grade level, one can only assume that you either do not understand what is being presented beyond your intellectual capacity, or that you are just blowing smoke to avoid admitting your errors. Your constant repetitions won't help you here, because quite frankly you're not fooling anyone but yourself....but you do believe that if you repeat your lies and dodges often enough and have the last word, you "win". So be it...I can't argue/teach a proudly ignorant child. Carry on.

How ironic.
