Abortion Follies: Texas style

YALSA. Lie. Trolling.

Awesome, but easily predictable response.

proof of that is the fact that humans let people kill their unborn children.......

And the fact that men here in America make laws preventing women to have a choice, no different than the Taliban do in Afghanistan.

You Republican men are not far from the Taliban in the way you try to control women.

Also, from one of my links that you obviously didn't read: More than 20% of the children who are currently in foster care are aged 3 or younger.

I focus on why they went into the system because the only ones who age out are those who went into the system as teenagers......
any child in the foster system aged three or younger is waiting for the courts to terminate the parental rights of parents who refuse to release the child for adoption......

why pretend these statistics are relevant for mothers who DON'T want their children......

Your first sentence is an ASSUMPTION, as nothing in what you or I produced states such in no uncertain terms. Also you conveniently left out pertinent information that points to what I stated (you always leave out what doesn't fit your agenda...a stupid move given this is a printed medium). Now if you can't connect the dots, here: https://www.americanprogress.org/iss...option-option/

The only pretender here is YOU...and a pretty dumb pretense on your part that can easily be checked with a mouse clik. So, you're proven wrong here, and there is no logical, rational reason for the current Texas law. Carry on.

I am fine with denying women the choice to kill their children.......I am sad that you prefer to let them kill them......by the way, the Taliban kill the woman AND the children, and lib'ruls support them as well as the abortionists......you have to live with that fact........

dude this is really quite simple.....babies get adopted quickly.......teenagers do not......get your head out of your ass and stop deflecting with your stupidity.......by the way, your link is as defective as your brain......

Exit reasons for those that exited care before their 19th birthday
Emancipation (often referred to as “aging out”) In the USA , 77% out of 6,154 polled in 2015

And we're not talking just about abused kids:https://www.americanprogress.org/iss...option-option/

This is just one aspect as to why the new Texas abortion law just doesn't make sense. The major point is that all those red state stupes who wail about an over-bearing federal gov't controlling their lives seem to have no problem with the Stasi like local gov't regarding a woman's personal medical choice. Hypocrisy much?

why is this difficult for you to understand.......if a mother does not want her baby there is a waiting list of people who do..........the only kids in foster care more than a month or two are those who's parents do NOT want to give them up for adoption......those who are under investigation by child protective services for neglect, abuse or worse......

Oh puh-leeze! Every blessed time you are faced with FACTS that disprove one of your claim or assertions, you start babbling supposition and conjecture as if they're facts....DESPITE fact based evidence to the contrary.

Now, if you follow your usual pattern, you'll just repeat the latter ad nausea with insipid stubbornness. No matter, as the true contrary information will be there for the rational, objective reader to see.

The OP stands valid....you don't. Carry on.

so telling them to not give in to all urges is religious radicalism?

Not at all! That is what responsible governments and societies do, is educate and inform the public. It is usually religious or political radicalism that ignores and refuses to cooperate with the government's, society's vocal majority, and even including the medical industry's research or scientific community recommendations.

Just look where the Republicans negatively stand on scientific research, medical research, and abortion and where a lot of that negative standings comes from their religious beliefs.

Science and medical expert opinion should not have to coincide with religious belief- and neither should our government.

We are not a fundamentalist country run by fundamentalists! We are the people! We are a country run by the people- not religious agents acting as clerics.

Although some of her past bits rubbed me the wrong way, Sarah Silverman has always been an entertaining comedienne and actress. Here, she is DEAD ON TARGET with the regards to the OP. Check it out:

adoption is an option......

I hate to say this- BUT NOT WHEN THEY ARE UGLY!

How many children are waiting to be adopted in the United States? Of the over 400,000 children in foster care in the U.S., 114,556 cannot be returned to their families and are waiting to be adopted.

Can you imagine how many unwanted children would be the result of making abortions illegal. Texas alone had 55,000 abortions that we know about last year!

So unless you live under a rock, Texas has recently passed laws that virtually makes abortion impossible for the average citizen. Well, here's whats currently going on in the state that wants to force women victims of rape & incest to bring that pregnancy to term. Yep, they're well prepared for all those unwanted kids::rolleyes:

https://www.literacytexas.org/impac...,to a national average of $11,762 per student.

I am no doctor, but I'm willing to take a look! [Geeko Sportivo]

The governor said today that Abortions under 6 weeks are still legal.

Of course most women have no idea they are even pregnant even at 8 weeks.

This is a six week old human embryo BTW....

The same size as a green pea....

Just curious, if the idea to stop abortions is because it's murder- why are they allowing abortions or murders under 6 weeks?

Wouldn't you want to eliminate all murders of fetuses- even those under 6 weeks?

Please advise me on what is the logic of this crazy bill?

It seems a little conflicting to their own logic to say the least.

Like the gun-banner authoritarians, the anti-abortion authoritarians are doing it in increments. One step at a time.

It’s rare that so many Americans want to suddenly give up their freedom as our nation did with the Patriot Act. Mostly it’s done incrementally.
