There is no gun nut I ever met who did not claim he was a great shot. It comes with a gun. I worked with gun nuts who said they skeet shoot with a 22 rifle. I never met one who did not say he got great pleasure from killing an animal from long distance in a single shot. Guys can brag, but I don't believe it and do not care. it does not make you a better person to be a good shot. Nor do I have to believe you are. Why is it so important for you to convince people on a debate board that you are a tough guy who is able to pull a trigger with accuracy?

I don't own many guns, but am a good shot. Guns are not all created equal, either. Some guns are nice and accurate while others suck ass.

I gravitate towards accurate guns. Kinda OCD about that. Got ruined by my 1st gun which was incredibly accurate. Everything else cannot compare.

I have learned to settle for coming close. If I buy a gun and it's not accurate? It's going down the road.

Sometimes within the same model of gun some will be better than others, even.

My most accurate rifle, I've owned for over 50 years. My 2nd. most accurate rifle, I've owned for over 45 years.

You can't leave it like that! You gotta say what they are! The rifle I started out with was an 80s Marlin Model 60. It is very accurate, the next most accurate Rifle is a Savage 110 bolt action with old American glass on it.

I was was gonna get my cousin an M-1, just 'cause he went to war with one and all he could find was this composite stock thing. I found one in GA but found out he was dying a couple days later. :(

I have no need or want for a rifle like that for myself. :dunno:
