Add Bloomberg's Billions To Biden's Campaign.

Hello Woko Haram,

https://www.statista.com/statistics/940427/2018-midterm-election-exit-polls-votes-by-income/

Actually, the spread is pretty thin between parties on income. Republicans often have slightly more rich people that vote for them, but it's not a big difference.

Where the spread is more significant is at the bottom. Democrats do pull in more of the poor vote by a substantial margin.

So, in effect, you can't really say that Republicans get a lot more of the wealthy. All you can say is that Democrats get a lot more of the poor.

What happens when we look at corporate leaders? I have the impression that the majority of big money corruption infecting our government is Republican. The insurance industry, the fossil fuel industry, medical industry, big pharma, manufacturing, etc.

It could be that big social networking and big marketing (FB, Amazon, Google, etc) lean Democratic, but if so, I do not believe they throw as much money at government as Republicans.

I doubt that. The most egregious examples of corruption in our government are bipartisan. The bank bailouts of 2008, for example, were supported by the majority of both parties.

The Iraq War was supported by the majority of both parties. The Patriot Act and its various extensions have been supported by the majority of both parties.

Whether it's corporate corruption or government overreach, there are several bipartisan problems present. K Street doesn't favor one party over another when it comes to corporate welfare, mostly because they have enough money to buy both parties.

A lot of the wealthiest individuals in America also fund both parties. They might favor one party over another slightly in total spending, but clearly, they play both sides because they can. If you had the money, wouldn't you?

You are entitled to your opinion.

I remain convinced that, while there is big money corruption of government on both sides, there is more of it on the Republican side. The Republican party is the party of big business. When Democrats act like Republicans, we call that 'Republican-Lite.'

you're an idiot.

power corrupts, total power corrupts totally.

given this, we need to make government less powerful.

and we should reverse citizens united, at the very least.

and end fiat currency.

and destroy the corporate veil.
