KC and I have an online friend -- what an earlier age would call a regular correspondent, I suppose -- in Dharamsala who sometimes sounds like that. Of course, English is about his sixth or seventh language, so he gets a pass.

We were good! My voice sounds an octave or two deeper than it is, I lowered it without realizing it to keep it from shaking.

An octave is a full scale of notes. If you were two octaves lower you would probably have a husky nearly-man voice...

I missed it! Our cable connection was all screwy -- it's been acting up badly the past few weeks -- and the streaming audio was inaudible. It was just one garbled syllable every 15 or 20 seconds. "Tha . . . ta . . . wah . . ." and so on. I doubt it was WBAI's fault. As I say, we've been having issues with Comcast.

Do they plan to put up an archive? I checked this morning but couldn't find it.

I had a similar problem Our antiquated soon-to-be-history dialup system is notorious for disconnecting frequently, and it didn't let up last night either! If this broadcast was archived, I'll listen when our new computer and DSL connection are in place.
