AMA Calls For Ending The “Schedule I Lie”

Lets see, SM has said "When I look in the mirror I see a wise, handsome, physically fit specimen" and "I'm used to getting the approving glances from the ladies when I'm at the Y or out in public".

And the Seven Cardinal Sins are:

1) Lust
2) Gluttony
3) Greed
4) Sloth
5) Wrath
6) Envy

And what was the other one? Hmmm, someone help me out. I am thinking it is the one often called the original and most serious of the "deadly sins".

What was the 7th one? Any catholics out there who might remember?

Pride.

I hope you aren't upset that a Buddhist answered.

Underrated as Major Sins (according to the catholic church)?
Looks like you fucked up again. :palm:
The Seven Deadly Sins

We should not be satisfied merely to keep the commandments of God, but should always be ready to do good deeds, even when they are not commanded. The commandments of God state the minimum requirements for salvation. They should be kept not merely according to the letter, but also according to the spirit, which obliges us to strive for greater perfection.

Actual sin is any willful thought, desire, word, action or ommission forbidden by the law of God.

1. PRIDE: Unrestrained appreciation of our own worth.
2. GREED: Immoderate desire for earthly goods.
3. LUST: Hankering for impure pleasures.
4. ANGER: Inordinate desire for revenge.
5. GLUTTONY: Unrestrained use of food and drink.
6. ENVY: Sorrow over another's good fortune.
7. SLOTH: Laxity in keeping the Faith and the practice of virtue, due to the effort involved.

THE FOUR SINS CRYING TO HEAVEN FOR VENGEANCE

1. Willful murder (including abortion)
2. The sin of Sodom.
3. Oppression of the poor.
4. Defrauding laborers of their wages.

THE SIX SINS AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT

1. Presumption of God's mercy.
2. Despair.
3. Impugning the known truth.
4. Envy at another's spiritual good.
5. Obstinacy in sin.
6. Final impenitence.

NINE WAYS OF BEING ACCESSORY TO ANOTHER'S SIN

1. By counsel.
2. By command.
3. By consent.
4. By provocation.
5. By praise or flattery.
6. By concealment.
7. By partaking.
8. By silence.
9. By defense of the ill done

One again, The Southern Man honors his Faith. :clink:

So your claim is that you have not been prideful, because you found a definition that fit what you wanted it to say.

And you think that works? lol

ok

So you have been prideful, but not too prideful, is what you are saying?

Sounds like splitting hairs to me.

The idea is to be humble and to not hold yourself up to high.

Talk about splitting hairs. What parts of "unrestrained" and "inordinate" do you find difficult to understand?

I don't think you have a clue what the "idea" is to be Catholic. The more you talk about it the more you reveal your ignorance.

Since I have never been catholic, I think that I would not have any idea of what it was like to be catholic.

But I can see splitting hairs. "unrestrained" is subjective and its splitting hairs. I can see that it was a way for the catholic church to avoid calling people guilty of the sin of pride unless it was obscenely done.

I see it as a way to dodge something. I look at your statements and see pride. That is not a problem for me. But in order for it not to fit the sin of pride, there has to be something added, and the church did that.

But this is off the topic. And as much fun as it was, it was a sidetrack.

In other words, you fucked up and are too proud to admit it, and you'll take a parting swipe at the Catholic Church.

What's fucked up is your sexual confusion. If you'd try a little sodomy, you might get over your issues. The Northern Man knows about these things.
