America becoming more liberal, voting more Republican

I guess it all depends on your perspective of the time horizon, it is slowly dying. Segregation was only 50 years ago, now we have some de facto segregation, but even that’s being attacked. We have serious issues with some systematic racism and institutional racism, but that won’t last another 50 years. Way too slow, but it’s Progress.

Ok, it's an interesting perspective (to hear from a liberal) especially when considering we just had millions upon millions of Americans in 2020 out in the streets protesting racism during the middle of a global pandemic and there were scientists saying it was ok because racism (in America) was even deadlier than COVID. That's not something I would associate with dying off.

I think that is exactly why it is dying off. More and more Americans are standing up against it, it is no longer being tolerated, it is being put to an end. The more we protest the more it dies.

This type of racism in the past went unanswered. We are killing racism, too slowly, but its dying, as it should.

Americans are generally much more liberal than they were 50 years ago, with public views taking a decidedly liberal slant in the 1990s, a new study finds. Despite that shift, researchers from New York University note these changes in public sentiment aren’t translating into today’s politics.
Why? While the average American may be more liberal today when it comes to topics such as gender, sexuality, race, and personal liberty than in the 1970s, views on polarizing issues like gun control, taxes, and abortion have largely remained the same. Study authors state these polarizing issues still sway voting decisions in a major way.

“America is a more liberal country now than it was 50 years ago,” says study author and NYU sociologist Michael Hout in a university release. “But its politics do not reflect this because polarizing attitudes and behaviors changed less than either values or lifestyles.”

Does that mean Republicans are becoming more liberal?

The electoral College is a subversion of democracy.

It provides fair representation for all the states, not just the population centers. 240 years running, baby girl.

I don't think you're as smart as the Founding Fathers, so I'll prefer their way of doing things, thank you.

most obamacare recipients are in the Enhanced Medicaid program(s).
