American society

That's probably how it is in America. It's not very often that someone just randomly goes out and kills someone.

It sure does make the news whenever it happens, though...

It does indeed. And I have to say that I think the Port Arthur killings by Bryant in 1996 are still the highest by an individual. That community is still terribly scarred by it.
 
Most brutal? last I heard, we were not the people who litterally saw (not chop) off people heads weh fully consious and no comfort what so ever in ending his life--- for not believing what they are told. Yea--we excercise our power a bit too much against other countries, and our own citizans (don't forget Waco), and the most powerfull nation in the world should not do that unless needed to protect ourselfs. But most brutal?---come on? Your lucky your not speaking against Alla to a guy with a dirty rag on his face with a 16 inch hand held blade reading their scripture to you.
