America's Drones - The Justification for Terrorism and 9/11

when are you idiots going to put a bullet in your brains to eliminate your stupidity from the gene pool?

Lovely. No doubt you were smiling cheerfully when you wrote this because you don't get mad here. Always cheery! It'd be a mistake to read any negative emotions into your posts

I would think you would be more adept at reading sarcasm and ridicule and recognizing it for what it is. Instead you almost always read 'anger' into it. Jarod is here to be mocked. Mock him I shall.

If you wish to see true 'anger', go back to the thread where Dung wants to rip peoples finger nails out simply because they are pretentious.

No, the thought of liberals dying by gunshot most likely gives him much pleasure!

LOL I am pretty certain he is being hyperbolic there. I bet if he ever flips and pulls anyone's finger nails out they're gonna be yours! ha

Sorry apple, what he is doing is not necessary. It's criminal. He has no right to be doing this and I will tell you something, liberals will long curse the day they let this go. Because this is the beginning of something that is going to flourish for many years, under many different presidents. I also completely reject the idea that as long as you don't smirk about it, it's okay to kill people. I really don't care about anyone's emotions when they are acting out. It is their actions themselves that matter. If someone killed someone I loved but assured me, hey I didn't feel good about it, guess what? I would kill them anyway.

An open war, a boots on the ground type war/an invasion, would end up killing a lot more people than drones do.

Yeah....like Korea, Vietnam,.....they make US losses in Iraq and pre-2009 Afghanistan look like ....like....like...."bumps in the road" I think was the phrase .....

Not to mention the drone killings.....

And we learn from mistakes. We have seen what happens when an invasion occurs. It's time to change procedures. Keep the leaders in hiding. Knock out whoever is doing the commanding. Troops need someone to tell them what to do. That is what makes the force, everyone working together. Disrupt that and their power is greatly diminished.

Yes, drones kill people in the vicinity of a particular individual but people know who that person is. Stay clear of them. I think drones are a great idea. The people in "rogue nations", assuming we have any right to be there, are responsible for keeping their fellow citizens in line. It's time to change strategy. If citizens of a certain country know their leaders or rebels are a problem they have a choice. Either fight them themselves or risk being collateral damage. Obviously, we can not blame children for being in the vicinity but we don't let terrorists hide behind children and just walk away saying we can't do anything.

And most important is the saving of US lives. And not just lives but all the wounded. People's whose lives will never be the same. It's time this idea of sending troops all over the place to be killed and maimed is put to an end. We (the West) have the technology and the people in countries that support or tolerate terrorists and/or wacky leaders better wake up to the idea that if they are in the vicinity of those people they are likely to be blown up.

War has become a damn game, a business. Surge. Withdraw. Surge. Troops here. Troops there. And the gross waste of money. It's incredible. Tens of thousands of able-bodied men and women in a damn desert when they could be here building homes and making communities for the poor, the old, the homeless. What a waste of talent and energy and money AND lives.

Send the message, "Straighten out or the sky WILL fall on you. You won't see it coming. You might not even hear it coming if you're at a party/wedding with music but it will come. Choose your friends/associates wisely."

Damn, I sound like a war monger. Maybe I'm a DINO.

So killings cool (innocents and kids) as long as we don't kill TOO many and it's Obama doing it?

And the alternative? Like Afghanistan. Or Iraq? I wonder how many innocents were killed in the Shock and Awe thing. And how many suffered illnesses and diseases due to dirty water or no food or water. Or no electricity.

When are you Cons going to come out in support of the President on this one? Dam Hypocrates.

Have you missed all of the controversial posts I've made on the matter? Some of them may have been drowned out by the meltdown of Gaytorman, but, still...

I agree with you, I would like somebody to explain to me what they will have left after the military pulls out from Afghanistan from next year? Everybody knows that AQ and the Taliban will flood back from Waziristan and Africa. I think that the reports of innocent being killed are highly exaggerated and are dutifully reported by gullible unquestioning news media. It also seems much more democratic to kill the leaders rather than the poor bloody infantry, how many wars can you say that about?

Are you of the opinion that the US would engage in an open war with Pakistan and put boots on the ground there?

No, we would not .. thus respectfully, your theory doesn't work.

We are killing people that can be replaced in 20 minutes .. and we are providing plenty of recruits to the casue we are supposed to be fighting by killing innocent people and babies in lands where this is no open war nor will there be one there.

Amazing how many democratic warmongers there are these days .. many of whom were the same people protesting the Bush foreign policy when Bush was doing it.

Must be magic dust or something.

Isn't Pakistan also fighting the Taliban in North West Pakistan especially Swat province? Why are they bothering as according to you it is a total waste of time. Would you be happy if the Taliban became the government in Pakistan?

Exactly! And this idea of recruiting offices/personnel in schools/colleges is outrageous. Just when young men are pumped full of testosterone, feeling invincible, ready to "conquer" the world the military lure them with promises of world travel and thrills of adventure. Maybe what's required is a disincentive campaign similar to what the anti-abortionists advocate when insisting women watch videos of the fetus, etc. When a young person wants to enroll in the military insist on a compulsory tour of a Vet's Hospital. Insist they watch videos of soldiers explaining what PTSD does to a person. Let them see the young men with no legs, testicles blown off....HA! I bet once they see the latter they'd run with their proverbial tail between their legs.

The US may not engage in open war with Pakistan but what will happen if the terrorists continually cross the border? Troops will be needed to guard the border so there we go with perpetual skirmishes (war). More troops, more money wasted, in perpetuity. Whether or not an open war is declared there is a war going on. Pakistan is harboring terrorists or people we don't like, if that's more politically correct. What happened to the "either you're with us or against us" Bush edict? Does that only count with countries that use sticks and stones? Do we just keep sending young people to get blown up, forever?

The "bosses" want to get involved over there? Fine. Bring the young people home and use drones and any other technology that's available. Or send the pro-war folks to get blown up until there's no more pro-war folks.
