And yes, Tulsi is pissed

The Christians Ruled the World for a 1,000 years, ... it was called the Dark Ages.

Well, it was a lot longer than that—in the Western world anyway.

I lack the motivation to type them all out: Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Churchill, Reagan, Lincoln, Kennedy..you get the idea. Not all were devout by any means but their worldview was largely informed by the *Christian* culture from which they sprang.

And I suspect you probably know this already. Or maybe you don’t lol. It’s not that the West was largely Caucasian—it was because it was largely Christian, that it took off and left the proverbial pack. The Muslim world is relatively stultified NOT because of race or whatever—it’s because their religion tends to produce different cultural effects, particularly in their leaders. Because of their religion, they struggle to embrace democracy.

I don’t know that I would *not vote* for a ‘secular’ president: it would depend on what they advocated and etc. Vote for one BECAUSE they were secular?

Not hardly.

You really don't think the Religious Right would refuse to vote for someone who isn't Christian? I'm not even talking about most Conservatives, I'm talking specifically about the hyper religious types that think gays shouldn't be allowed to get married.

The religious right? ... this is just a racist bigoted political meme. Black Christians are even more opposed to homosexuality than White Christians.

A lot of people think that two men masturbating each other ... does not really constitute a marriage, ... except in the eyes of liberal politicians who created it out of thin air by legislation.

Repetitious chanting or singing is a form of meditation, ... and common to most all religions. Are you anti-meditation?

Why are you so obsessed with race? Not everyone on the Religious Right is white.

Yes, that's how marriage works. It's a concept created and fleshed out by the community. In America, the only people who oppose gay marriage are religious nuts and Incels. A lot of Conservatives who don't fall into those categories are fine with gay marriage.

Bullshit. You're just making shit up, again.

The majority of Cali's "community" voted against homosexual marriage. The liberal legislators declared the will of the people to be invalid.

Define the "religious left" ... other than just saying it's Muslim or Black.

I'm looking for a secular American for President, ... like Bernie.

Bernie isn't secular either. He doesn't have a religion, but he believes in a god.
Or at least he says he does. I think most politicians are Atheists who have to pretend to believe in religious idiocy.

Bullshit. You're just making shit up, again.

Are you saying there are no non-white people on the Religious Right?

The majority of Cali's "community" voted against homosexual marriage. The liberal legislators declared the will of the people to be invalid.

There are religious nuts in California too and they mobilized like crazy to vote against gay marriage. Especially the Mormons.
I do agree with one thing you said here, though. This decision should not have been turned over at the federal level. Marriage should be a state issue.

Define the "religious left" ... other than just saying it's Muslim or Black.

There is no Religious Left. While there are plenty of Leftists who believe in religion, they don't make it part of their politics. Religion is stupid and cowardly, but if a politician is going to be religious, they should at least keep it out of politics.

Stop pretending that "religious right" is NOT liberal political code for White Christians.

Cali is as liberal as you can get, and IIRC, 80% voted against Prop 8. Stop making shit up.

No "religious left"? ... "they don't make it part of their politics."? ... more Bullshit.

Stop pretending that "religious right" is NOT liberal political code for White Christians.

But there are plenty of white Christians who aren't part of the Religious Right. Are you saying that "Religious Right" is code that includes Beto O'Rourke, Pete Buttigieg, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi? They're all white Christians, but they're not part of the Religious Right.

But they didn't all vote. It's not about how liberal or conservative a state is, it's about who votes. The Religious Right in Cali mobilized their Christcucks to vote for Prop 8.

No "religious left"? ... "they don't make it part of their politics."? ... more Bullshit.

Give me some examples.

spreading democracy at the barrel of a gun

Protecting Democracy.

The Kurds have a democratic system of Government, Trump abandons them.
The Saudis are fundamentalist Salafi Islamists, Trump SUPPORTS them with an additional 2,000 American Troops.

Probably not a good idea to alienate the Believers.

But you just claimed there is no "religious left" :dunno:

Bullshit. You're making shit up about Cali's rightwing voter turn out.

Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama, Jessie Jackson, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Talib, etc..
