America wasn't that great. Ever, really. And accomplishing things is not the same as being great.

This country was founded with slavery as its original sin, then that morphed into Jim Crow, which morphed into mass incarceration.

That's not great.

This country isn't great for immigrants? I think many immigrants would disagree with that including those who risk life and limb to get here.

Then there is the way we treated the American Natives, interned Japanese Americans and Alaska Natives. None of this is a proud moment in our history. We also fabricated lies to invade other countries. We aren’t a perfect nation, but politicians get in trouble if they speak the truth. Uber patriots believe ‘Merika, right when we’re wrong
