I haven't decided one way or the other on Gabbard. Mostly my OP was pointing out that we lefties -- and we all know how our RW friends feel about HuffPo -- don't ignore negative things about our candidates like those on the right do. Or to be more precise, we don't pretend that they're perfect. We point out their flaws, even if eventually we make allowances for them.

I still have negative feelings about those who at one time made homophobic and anti-SSM remarks. How do we know their sea change is the real deal, or is it just pandering to get elected? The same goes for those who supported racism in the past.

I think we have to remain vigilant to the pitfalls of always thinking we are right. It is so easy to do while observing the right, but we should also learn a lesson from their demise, and make sure we never fool ourselves into thinking we can do no wrong.

The "shame" is that someone actually thought they could declare the left never engages in lies, deceit, crimes, cronyism, etc., AND SOMEONE WOULD BE GULLIBLE ENOUGH TO ACCEPT THIS HOURSESHIT as truth. ;) Its like the BIG LIE....the right is RICH and part of the 1%, when in reality there are far more millionaires on the left side of the isle residing in the halls of congress. There are about 237 Millionaires sitting in congress (that's about 44% of the legislative body compared to the general population they represent being 1% millionaires by population)…..the majority of these multi-millionaires are DEMOCRAT.
