I think that what people find mildly amusing about it is the perception that people who believe that they are helping the environment are the ones most likely to purchase the product.

I do know a lot of techies who love droids, but in the PC v Mac debate, there is none. In my whole life, and I work with a lot of CIO's (more and more they are the decision makers for my field), are Mac lovers. How many IT guys do you know who use PCs?

I have an iphone and an ipad and love them both. When it's time for a new laptop I will move from my current thinkpad to a mac. I am not claiming that there are no liberals who love apple, just that the claim that only liberals, or even mostly liberals, use Apple is false.

The EPA standards are an absolute minimum and often still do not cover some serious risks.

But I suppose as long as the EPA doesn't get involved you have nothing to worry about. But then, when the EPA does get involved you will probably scream about gov't intrusion.

hardware geeks consider them overpriced part for part
software geeks hate the closed garden and locked down nature that apple always has with its products
