Possible, they could decide that they will wait for the legalities over the subpoenas to reach the SCOTUS and then go with the Mitch rule, keeping it a work in progress

More likely they will impeach, the Senate will dispose of it quickly, the Democrats will label the trial as a whitewash just as the Republicans are doing now, and Trump will boast he was vindicated, which FOX will endorse and echo

But what will remain are the facts revealed, that Trump sought to leverage Ukraine's need for aid against him attaining a personal "favor," that he asked a foreign entity to get involved in our elections, that he orchestrated a campaign to obtain his goals, etc., all issues the Democrats could use in 2020 to cement an image of Trump as unethical, dishonest, and untrustworthy

Democrats are in trouble no matter what they do at this point lol.

I don’t know what they think the Judiciary hearing is going to accomplish that Schiff’s hearing didn’t. If the needle budged at all—it went in the wrong direction for democrats. Since Impeachment is political—you know the rest.

If I were in charge, if this hearing doesn’t change anything I’d call for a censure vote. Letting it drag on into Spring will just make things worse; an actual vote puts the democrat majority at risk; democrats will very likely NOT get two thirds in the Senate.

Censure Trump then call Senate Republicans Russian assets or whatever. But close the deal and move on because an election is coming up.

Politically, that might be smart. It would not be the right thing to do.

Censure would’ve been appropriate if President Trump said oops I made a mistake and won’t do it again, instead President Trump has said I didn’t do anything wrong, and I’m gonna keep doing this kind of thing.

The facts Have already been outlined by the report adopted by the committee yesterday. These are expert witnesses not fact witnesses.

It’s like a bifurcated trial, the jury has already determined the facts by adopting yesterday‘s report. Today they are showing how those facts Equate to impeachment.
