Jarod, I know by witnessing a lot of what you post that you are no dummy, partisan biased but you're no dummy.

And you know this isn't going the Democrats way, top to bottom it smells of a hit job, a hit job by some extremely dangerous people given their power in these committees

And you also know nothing that has happened or probably will happen is going to get 2/3 in the Senate to vote Trump out.

So tell me you actually believe the Democrats are strictly doing what they think is best for the country, so I can lose a little respect for you?????

I am shocked that the amalgamation of polling data shows more Americans for removal than against it. Fivethirtyeight.com

I think impeachment should happen to tell the future presidents that using the fruits of office for personal gains, especially by bribing foreign nations, is wrong and impeachable.

I doubt the cowardly Republicans will come along or that 2/3rds of the Senate will support it.

Sorry, I think Democrats are acting in their own best interest, not because it is in the best interest of the Country. I happen to think that what they are doing is in the best interest of our country, I acknowledge that is not why they are doing it.

What I keep coming back to is the constant reference by Democrats, both witnesses and committee members alike that the crux of their argument is that he was abusing his power to gain an advantage for the 2020 election, by having his "potential" political opponent investigated.

If in fact this "potential" political opponent, happened to have a son being paid 50k / per mnth by a corrupt oil company in a foreign country, with no obvious qualifications, and certainly sane individuals would like to know the answer as to why, when after all Dad was the VP at the time..duhhh
Does this automatically make it wrong to ask, in other words does this cover Joe Biden from scrutiny BECAUSE he is a "potential" political opponent?

And secondly, but related, what if this person, and his son were not a "potential" political opponent. Was trump asking for an investigation still bribery and high crimes?

Do you not believe there were individuals in Ukraine who evidence showed were committing corrupt acts other than Hunter Biden? Why focus on Biden? Why is the only international corruption in the whole wide world that Trump had an interest in investigating allegations against Biden. Why was Trump so insistent on an announcement on CNN?

Why not a quiet investigation until they found something... that's how an investigations generally go, look into it before the one you are investigating has a chance to clean it up.

For the first time ever Trump was concerned about international corruption and his only real demand was that they announce on CNN that they were investigating the Biden's, it does not ever really seem he was interested in having an investigation actually take place.
