Are Democrats Bringing Us Back to the Hippie Days?

We were united in our fight against socialism when the sixties started. The Cold War was still alive and our experts realized we needed to react quickly to fend off the socialists in Vietnam. Then the liberal Democrats started their flower power protests against the war.

Are the Democrats trying to return to those days?

You want us to go back to Vietnam?

If the hippies are coming back, it's too late to do me any good.

Hippies in the 60's had long hair and wore bell-bottoms.
Today's wear something else

Scary as hell...

Those "socially liberal" nazis KILLED the liberals you idiot

Yeah right....Hitler was not a Socialist, not a Fascist, and did not declare he was the enemy of capitalism. ;) Hitler "killed" JEWS....just like the Dixiecrats killed blacks....Hitler was a socialist and a leftist just like Mussolini. FYI: NAZISM is defined as a national socialist workers party...i.e., Nazism was a (wink, wink) progressive movement.....Stalin was further left than both Hitler and Mussolini in the Marxist type of socialism but all 3 socialist left wing tyrants propagated a totalitarian central government control of private industry, education, and the banking system (sound familiar?).

Here is a direct and objectively testable quote from A. Hitler, "We (the Nazi Party) are SOCIALISTS.....WE ARE THE ENEMIES OF TODAY'S CAPITALIST EXPLORTATION ….WE ARE DETERMINED TO DESTORY THIS SYSTEM..." -- 1927

THE BIG LIE...AGAIN? REALLY? Talk about an idiot being duped by propaganda and not smart enough to test history actual for facts instead of propaganda.

www.objectivestandard.com/2018/03/t...-roots-of-the-american-left-by-dinesh-dsouza/

Hitler and Mussolini were ALLIES because both were Socialist Fascists......both were LEFTISTS with FDR being quoted by the NY Times in the 30s concerning Mussolini and how FDR was looking to Fascism as exampled in Italy as a format to get things accomplished in the United States....the very word FASCISM is Italian for THE COLLECTIVE. FDRs Interior Secretary (Harold Ickes) was quoted as saying, "What we (FDRs administration) are doing in this nation are SOME OF THE SAME THINGS THAT ARE BEING DONE IN GERMANY AND ITLAY..." Fyi: The New (fascist) Deal

The difference between Russian left wing fascism and Hitler/Mussolini's fascism is like comparing ISLAM and the split between Shia and Sunni.....both are still Muslim.

Poll Shows Democrats View Capitalism More Negatively Than Ever Before

Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is a communist country in Southeast Asia and the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula.

How did the right wing conservatives in America get so dumb, say a few words and they salivate like hungry puppies, there is no thought nor mind in them. What happened.

"Corporate propaganda directed outwards, that is, to the public at large, has two main objectives: to identify the free enterprise system in popular consciousness with every cherished value, and to identify interventionist governments and strong unions (the only agencies capable of checking a complete domination of society by corporations) with tyranny, oppression and even subversion. The techniques used to achieve these results are variously called 'public relations', 'corporate communications' and 'economic education'." Alex Carey 'Taking the Risk out of Democracy'

The books below help us understand the dumb American conservative, but you'd think they'd learn by now that money is playing them for fools.

The "Hippy" days were actually rooted in beliefs that the government was not the end all. they had us in an unjust war. the "hippy" days were also rooted in experimentation, drugs, free love, expression, togetherness.

What the Democrats are doing now is just the opposite on all fronts.
they believe the government should be more in our lives, give them more of our money and let them decide where to spend it, dependency.

And the Democrats would like to see us divided, in fact they need this divisiveness to regain power.
if you don't agree with them there is no room for conversation, they take to the streets with violence, they follow the media narrative.

So, quite the opposite of "Hippy years"

Its an insult to "hippies" to equate the two

Yup.

Hippies in the 60’s were anti war more than anything. I don’t recall them getting into economic theory so much.

Their biggest contribution was creating a counterculture that still reverberates in society to this day.

Ha. I wish. Democrats are going the opposite direction. They are in the pockets of Goldman Sachs, Monsanto, Boeing, etc. and their corporate-friendly platform reflects that. Obama ordered ten times more drone strikes in his first year than Bush in his entire presidency. Democrats are hippies, yea we'll go with that. :palm:

Exactly. Thank you.

Republicans are ar worse regarding all of those things.

Dems may not be perfect (obviosuly not) but they're so much better than the alternative

Nice whataboutism.

Your party sucks dude. Doesn't matter if the other party sucks too.

What?

That's pragmatism. Choosing the best available alternative.

It DOES matter that the GOP is a complete disaster. Every criticism you have of Dems applies far worse to the only other alternative.

And throwing up your hands and saying "fuck em all" is the childish way to deal with life.

Choosing the best available alternative is what adults do

Lol. Republicans being worse is simply your own confirmation bias at play. It's controlled opposition, Democrats and Republicans are on the same side. Against you. Same corporate donors, same agenda. Y'all put up the former board director of fucking Walmart up for President. Take your superiority complex over being "blue team" and shove it.
