Are we all now pro government regulation?

Or is it being talked about just to defray blame on the party who had control for the last eigth years?

The intelligent ones of us realize that the dereg and under regulation was a bad thing in many areas.

However some of us would still do it again.

I'm so for right regulation I want to kick a democrats ass if someone doesn't go to jail over this. Evence/desh if you don't think dems are at least 40 percent responsible. Then your more stupid than you sounded in the machine fraud that didn't includemachines post. Maxims waters a year ago said fanny was great and needed no change. She's a dumb bitch too.

Are you kidding?

She'll go kicking and screaming into a rubber room before she ever admits that Democrats are 1% responsible for anything that has ever gone wrong in America.

Immie

LOL, you sound as if you believe regulation is some sort of "black magic" that either requires a vote or "yes" or "no" .... this is NOT the case. Allow me to 'xplain it to ya ...

Free Market Capitalism on any significant cannot operate without a regulatory framework, period (the anarch-min-arch-ists will disagree with this but they are just flat wrong) however there are three (3) simple rules that regulators must follow in order to create an optimal framework (i.e. one that allows the power of CAPITALISM to create the wealth necessary to move those that start at the bottom the ladder upwards):

Rule#1: Regulations MUST apply to all market participants equally (no favoritism)

Rule#2: Regulation incurs cost in both economic efficiency and enforcement, there is also the risk of unintended consequences, all these must be assessed BEFORE enactment

Rule#3: Regulations must be constantly reviewed and updated to adapt to changing conditions, failure to do so inhibits the ability of the economy to grow and produce the "new wealth" that is required to lift those at the bottom of the economic ladder "updwards"

Any questions ?

Desh, is the choice between absolutely no regulations and total government control over every facet of life? Of course not.

There need to be some regulations. But to demonize big business with one hand and solicit contributions, take tax money, and use their resources with the other is lunacy.

Note to Desh. Britain lost the war in 1783. Its been a while...

History Majors, they're always trying to show their smarts. Dates this, dates that.....I'll bet the Argentinian Peso is worth more per square inch than that History Diploma! :clink:

Being a college dropout is great if you have a business acumin/flair. I do not, and needed that damned BA! But yeah, Desh displays the values of the Loyalists (many of which were attacked and driven in to Canada or back to England by the Patriots), and its fucking annoying.

The 14th amendment makes no exception for the states. And that's a GOOD thing. Human rights come before states rights. In a perfect world states wouldn't have rights.

T. Roosevelt was a socialist in RINO clothing

I don't like TR either, because he was a warmonger who believed that wars were good for a nation's health and character. He was also instrumental in bringing about the Spanish-American War.

Ike was a great president, though. He was right to uphold THE LAW!
