Are you a Christian 'White" Nationalist?

He still looks fairly Euro there, don't you think? Always liked this one, drawn by a forensic artist.

It fits the average Palestinian man at that time in history

He hailed from Palestine and his family was Jewish

It’s a reconstruction of an average male face from that time

Jesus didn’t stand out from others in any significant way

He had to be pointed out as the individual when Judis identified him to the guards

He was average looking

Maybe not even that handsome

I believe there was someone who walked the earth that these texts speak of

The words attributed to that being are beautiful in the expressed love of mankind

I believe the world would be a better place if people considered those ideas to be very important teaching ideas

Unfortunately way to many USE the religions that grew out of these words as weapons to give them an excuse kill and harm others with

Like Top

They just can’t really believe kindness to others is really the point

They hate most of who Jesus considered the children of god

Organized religion creates the perfect scaffolding for evil people to wield power over innocent well meaning people

Stop organizing religion

Believe what is in your heart

I agree with most of this. There are virtually no reputable scholars of religious history who think Jesus of Nazareth was a complete fabrication.

The fact that there are discrepancies in the gospels show that there were multiple lines of written and oral traditions about Jesus in the decades after his execution. Multiple independent sources and attestations are the gold standard of historical scholarship.

On the other tangent, I don't think it's realistic to ask people to give up churches, synagogues, mosques, and temples. Religion is a social activity, and tradition and ritual is a perfectly natural human desire. I still periodically enjoy the beauty and aesthetics of the Eastern Orthodox liturgy

Jarhead is a Christian 'White" Nationalist.

He is a racist too.

And like the other Reichwing propaganda you copy and paste from crazy blogs, we're supposed to believe this because you said so? *snort*

Shouldn't you and Toxic log off? You're going to be late for your church service.

It’s such a gem!

It's a timeless story of how times change, yet our traditions and faith see us through. I love Tevye's relationship with his God, how he fusses and questions yet always believes.

Mr. Owl goes to an archery league on Friday nights; that's my "movie night" when I watch stuff that bores him or that he's already seen. I'm putting "Fiddler" on this coming Friday. Thanks for the reminder.

They needed bodies to fill the land

I think some were actually not racists

There were some fine minds among them

They were men of the 18th century, and I can't apply 21st expectations to them. Some of them were slave owners, some of them thought slavery was reprehensible. As former Englishmen of the 1700s, I don't think they expected the United States to have large Hispanic, Asian, and Muslim populations. I don't even think they really expected significant immigration from Eastern Europe

Is it your belief that the White European's who founded America created a 'Christian' nation.

Yeah, at least they tried. SOOOOOO many ignorant people! God worked overtime to protect the early Americans.

They founded a European version of Christianity?

Part of the package actually. All of the fledgling "states" were founded as colonies. Just little pieces of England, France and Spain.

Or the Middle Eastern foundation that was Christianity?

What's your point. Voting for Trump.

Oh I know

Not Joining others in your belief and joy is really asking too much

It’s more of a wish of mine that churches would be very careful who they allow to stand at the podium

More of a wish that the believers would spend more of their efforts and cooperation to help physically those in need instead of building lavish palaces to use on Sunday or whatever day

All religions do that

Jesus never did

He went to the town square

He went to the riverbank

He didn’t need a palace

His love was enough

Fiddler on the Roof is a great film!
