Armenian genocide vote

Because he doesn't like him.

But why? There's nothing anymore annoying about Cypress than there is about SF.

They're both men.

I'm not going to be here tomorrow, at all.

And...I accepted a new job, starting next Monday, for a non-profit, as the outreach director. My job here is meaningless and even though I guess getting paid to do nothing, has its good side...it's making me into a lazy unambitious person. I have no human contact all day, except for my friends the janitors, and you guys. I am in a tiny little office, with no windows, by myself. With nothing to do. They pay me to do mostly nothing.

I still could change my mind between now and Monday, and I could, mostly because of the company store (you know where I work?) but if I don't, I won't be able to post here nearly as much. I'll have a real grown up job.

Next week, I will be away on vacation, that is for certain, regardless.

All of that just came out! lol.

Darla,

You made a good point: if turkey wants to take military action against PKK, the wheels are already in motion. A non-binding resolution isn't going to make a bit of difference.

I doubt this resolution will do any lasting harm to turkish american relations. They need us and much as we need them. They probably need us more.

Can you believe what a big deal were making out of this? I really don't even care that much, but I've wrote like 20 posts about it. :)

Right, that is what I think. I think they want to take that action, and were already going to.

But what I don't know is, whether or not this whole thing is just a big show.

No it is not, but the exact distance wasn't his point.

His point was that it was not logical given the geography.

right but there is more than one pipeline route up in the air.
Damo is fixating on that one thru Afganistan.
At least one proposed one goes thru Turkey. Is that tregion of turkey primarially Armenian in population ? I really have no idea.

Goo dluck Darla, if you go we will miss ya.

Well, I will still come here! Of course. But I wont' be able to hang around here all day, and not at all, at first, I'm sure. But I'll post a little in the mornings. And eventually I will probably be able to come in here during the day, once I am used to my job. But, never as much as now. I mean, this is ridiculous usc. I'll bet that no one would even believe I have a job, as much as I am here during the day.

I really have very, very little to do. I thought it was great for a while, but it's no good for me actually.

To be fair, he and I both fixated on that pipeline, because that is the one you said you were referring to. Turkey already has pipelines that run from the Caspian sea. As does Iran.

To the best of my knowledge, the proposed pipeline through Afghanistan is not even for oil... I think they are looking to tap the nat gas reserves. I could be wrong on this point.

I believe most Armenians now live in Armenia. Though I would imagine there are some that live in Turkey.

As for the pipelines in Turkey, I do beleive they run through both Azerbaijan and Armenia.... but again, not 100% on that.

Congratulations. I had a job like that where i had no work to do. I did MBA homework allot.. but when i finished the degree. i was so bored I couldn't stand it.

some people are just not cut out for doing nothing. I will work till i die.. tho hopefully my own business or consulting down the road.

So damo Is Trukey as far from Afganistan as Alaska is from Florida ?
No, a slight exaggeration to make a point.

Let's say, it's much like asking if a pipeline would go through New Mexico to Florida from oh, let's say Tennessee....

It doesn't make any sense, they are far apart, and the pipeline would have to run first one direction then an even further direction the opposite direction.

Add to it, that there would already be pipelines in New Mexico directly piping in the necessary oil to transport and no need to effect another pipeline over such a large distance with many "enemy" nations in between.

I always thought I was cut out for doing nothing. But it ends up that I like to do a lot more than I thought I did.

Thanks Chap!~

I actually look forward to my master plan. i want to buy and sell businesses.. like 3year plans. This in my mind would keep me pretty enthusiastic.

Have about 10years or so before im in financial position to take that on. been working my mortgage hard. only 10years left on that.. and stocking away allot of loot. Perhaps sooner if I can work it. but no longer then that.

You are highly mistaken if you think a non-binding resolution by America makes no difference to the Turks.

Turkey has PORTS.

Yup. Which is why I had to add that the pipeline that, in my scenario, went to NM fed directly into the transport system already.

There's enough evidence of Turkeys' significance in the area to warrant some real concern when they threaten action. Anyone want to get on record right now saying that there is absolutley nothing to worry about when it comes to Turkish intervention?

I didn't suggest that you needed the article... I was simply looking to solicit a discussion on the issue. If you do not wish to do so, that is your choice.

I can't get there from work but does the article say that the dems are doing this to get Turkey pissed so they stop letting us resupply through Turkey?

If so, I heard this last week on Michael Savage and (gasp) I agreed. It is the only thing that makes sense.

Not me. I'm fully on the record that this is a foolish vote that could indeed be serious for our troops in the region.

It passed. Good. The Truth:1, the power hungry, amoral, machiavellian self selected world police of Noahide Fascism: 0

If The Kurds that Turkey wants to attack in Iraq have been doing terrorist acts in Turkey, how can we tell them not to do it after what we have done in Iraq based on lies ?
