The Democrat Party has always done this. When Lincoln became President they walked out of the House and Senate and went home, then denounced the Country that elected him, and declared war on it. They murdered Lincoln because he freed their slaves. Then they formed the KKK to terrorize Republicans who took control after they lost the civil war. Then they passed sill state laws to segregate blacks. They bullied blacks who dared ignore segregation "laws".

Of course those Dixiecrats turned into reliable and regular Republicans. Todays Repubs include bigots, haters Nazis, Whitepower types and Fascists. It is their natural home now. Today's republican party is not the party of Abe Lincoln. Perhaps the party of George Lincoln Rockwell.

2) expressing disbelief that anyone would not agree with you.....
3) frustration that Kavanaugh has not stepped down rather than stand up to the allegations...
4) a willingness to believe anything, no matter how stupid it sounds.....
5) the expectation that you have a right to win even when you've lost.......

The American conservatives of Lincoln's day were in the Democratic Party. They switch to the Republican Party in droves when LBJ passed the Civil Rights Act.

And they have the gall to pretend THEY were the ones who freed the slaves.
