No such thing as a 3rd party now. We have Greens, Libertarians, Constitutional law , and others. 3rd party is now a collective term that encompasses all not Dem or Repug. You have to watch PBS to watch debates that include them.
 
Multiple parties exist, obviously, but as of today, only two of them are viable.

One must latch onto the less repugnant one, obviously the Democratic Party, and then work toward moving it in the appropriate direction.

The left most wall of the Democratic Party bulges outward in my shape, but as a citizen, it's the logical place for me to be.
