What's conservative about me? Humm.....well, let's talk about after things. Abortion, I'm against it. Gay marriage, ... I'm against that too. Military? I say keep it strong and make it stronger. I'm generally anti-Union because it don't think people ought to be forced to support political candidates (with their money through Union donations) with whom they disagree. My favorite judges on the Supreme Court were/are Scalia and Thomas because they were/are more apt to keep things as they are. I am generally for lower taxes and more prudent oversight of their use. I don't see evil in rich people just because they are rich. I am authoritative in that I believe in crime and punishment. We have laws in this country and they need to be obeyed. If not I think an appropriate punishment is in order up to and including the death penalty. I believe something needs to be done about our immigration policy and illegal immigrants need to to be addressed though I am not for deportation across the board.

The only people who are close to being "Christians" who want heaven on earth that I know of are the Jehovah's Witnesses...but they only seem to want to lie down with the lions, tigers and bears...Oh my! I've never known of any of them around here to even vote. Progressives make no sense to me. That reminds me of a couple of more "conservative" beliefs that I hold. I believe in private property ownership and that if you are able to work you should work. If not then you deserve what you get.

It's really funny. You are painting me as a lefty and desh works hard to paint me as a righty. I see you two as different sides of the same coin. No room for compromise and no room for any amount of decorum or even civil conversation. You guys are at the opposite ends of the rope and continue to play tug of war with this country. My hope is that we all don't get ripped apart in the process.
