What are the best combinations of food & drink?

Like beer & pretzels....

Vietnamese yellow curry and Tsing Tao.

And in about one and a half hours I will face that usual confusion of what to put in my mouth first. A confusion made much worse by sharing lunch with a beautiful young lady!

OK.....I'll be serious.

Try some Goose Island 312 with some good BBQ ribs.

Ice cold root beer in a frosted mug with pepperoni pizza

Sam Adams Boston Lager with a hearty Beef Stew.

This one will make foodies gross out......but a cold glass a milk with spaghetti & meat sauce.

Dos Equis (and lots of it) and pollo diablo....the hotter the better.

Oysters on the half shell and Champagne (or any good sparkling wine).

An aged sharp cheddar and a cold glass of Riesling.

Budweiser and a plate of shit.

Sweet tea and fried chicken

Gin & Tonic and grilled salmon

A glass of Guinness and a bowl of Guinness

Broiled grouper and a good chardonnay or pinot grigio

Good cheesecake and a decent ice wine

Baklava and espresso

Sam Adams Boston Lager or Summer Ale and BBQ ribs (with dry rub, not sauce)

........Ok, I'm hungry now. lol

Mott, milk & spaghetti? I think I'll stick with a red wine. lol

Yea, yea I know....I said the foodies would gross out. Standard food snob would suggest a fine Chianti with spaghetti and meat sauce (Spaghetti Milanese) but before you make up your mind try it. It's actually a very good pairing. My wife thought the same thing as you when she saw me doing it but she tried it and now she drinks cold milk with spaghetti too.

BTW, Goose Island 312 is a summer ale too. I just prefer it to Sam Adams summer ale..though that's certainly a good ale too. So were in agreement there on the Ribs with dry rub.
