You know .. maybe greatest Album would have been better .... have everyone list what they think is the 5 greatest Albums ever .. and we can work from there.

BUT .. and its a big one... as a voting block .. We represent a pretty darn diverse cross section ...

Heres my Top 50

Oh well ... BOT was always my favorite Dylan album ......could never get enough of Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts

OH yeah...

If you want to see the results, click final round.

If you want to see the process it allows you, but I doubt any of you simpletons would understand.

What the ranks basically do is redistribute votes from candidates that have to little support to win and candidates that already have enough - it assures that everyones ballot will count somewhat towards a winner. The actual process is a bit more complicated. But if you want to know what the actual rankings mean exactly, read the explanation it provides.

If you feel so bad about these choices you should've nominated those freaking songs in the WEEK that I had nominations open.

Just got here yesterday, so my only options as I saw them were silence in the face of a great injustice or a snide comment. Obviously, I had no choice byut the snide comment.

Boy, you can rationalize just about any act with a well-crafted false dilemma, can't you? No wonder the Shrubites love their logical fallacies so much. Beats having to think.

OK, I'm pretty sure someone rigged this poll. No way Tool got three votes for the BEST SONG EVER. I'd like you to realize, that this is not a simple vote of songs that you happened to like for 2 weeks back in 2003, but the best song ever. If Parabola is hte best song ever to you, you're either a teenager who's never heard anything else or stupid.

LOL, sorry for insulting you, Gonzo :) .

Anyway, I'm discarding the Nirvana songs from the total because someone not from this site actually made that vote (the administrator from Demochoice, which does the polls) - he sent me an E-Mail about it.

Sorry Zoom.

What choices do you want me to add?

Unlikely they'll win this late into the count, but at least you be able to vote for them.

And unless the 4 people who apparently voted for Parabola come forward and give me their names I'm taking Parabola off the list.

No other song's even gotten 2 votes for first, I find this very unlikely.

My Choices, in no particular order:

Ode to Joy (9th Symphony, 4th movement) -- ol' Ludwig van
Don McLean- American Pie
Godsmack - Serenity
Metallica - One

I love Rude Mude by SRV......but #1 song ever can never be decided upon.

It's like trying to have a #1 favorite porn star; the ladies are always changing for me, gotta go for something different and new.

And Tiana, Desh, and Darla would have been dragged through the streets and raped......

maybe we should move to the Congo.
