Interesting move, but IMO, it's more about shoring up relations with NATO allies than threatening Russia.

There was no appreciation of Castro after he showed how he would rule. However, he replaced Batista who was a corrupt dictator and we all thought he would be better than that. Cubans were slaves for pineapple and sugar corporations. Cuba was a ness that was a money laker for American corporations and the mob.
