A president has never pardoned himself, so it's still an open constitutional question. Just hollering on a message board that it is perfectly constitutional does not cut the mustard.
Trump is a convicted felon in New York state and he cannot pardon himself from state crimes.
He can try. Of course for the pardon to be effective he will have to accept it, acknowledging the guilt behind it. And it may not be effective. No court has ruled on the strange idea of a self pardon. So if the pardon is not effective, but he has acknowledged the guilt it was intended to
expunge, then what?
