Biden shakes hands with...

You cannot have watched trump rallies and speeches, and then claim that it was Dems who used the crazy and hateful rhetoric.
Did he call her Hitler the worst mass murder in history? I must have missed that.:cautious:. I mean he did call her stupid. But that is pretty accurate. She had a history of not reading her briefings . She didn't know how to answer questions because she didn't do the homework. She was a party girl at the party university of Howard. As a black woman she just got into a mediocre law school and she flunked the bar the first time around.

....a threat to Democracy? Looks like he does not believe his own rhetoric. Liberals what does it feel like to be gaslighted by your own party.
Sure, as his his duty, he shook hands with the democratically elected soon to be President of the United States, he is not respecting trump, he is respecting Democracy and the voters.

He shook hands with Hitler? Would you shake hands with Hitler. I wouldn't.
If I were the President and the people elected him, I would feel an obligation. Trump is not Hitler, he shares some characteristics and is a fascist who does not understand our Constitution. I doubt Biden thinks he is actually Hitler.

It would be the ultimate hypocrisy to claim one believes in Democracy and then do something like not greet the President elect as tradition states because you are bitter. (to me at least)
So do you think Biden and Kamala were just gas Lighting voters when he called Trump a Fascist?

You would welcome a fascist to run the country?

To me, what happened on the campaign trail is separate. The election is over. Tradition states the President welcomes the President elect to the office. It has nothing to do with whether the sitting President likes or dislikes the President elect. It's part of what makes America America.

Tradition has that the departing administration cooperates with the new administration. Have you not read the stories about how Democrats are trying to make the transition difficult?

I agree, but I also think trump shows significant fascist tendencies.

I will say, trump has been behaving very well in the last couple weeks. He is not tweeting angry insults or attacking people. He showed up at the White House like a grown adult. I am impressed at the improvement in his demeanor thus far.

Kind of a lame thread, but just to address the "gotcha" aspect - I think a lot of Dems fear that Trump will be a fascist or at least the most authoritarian President we've had, and I've heard some fear that this was our last election. But, most HOPE for the best.

I hope that clears things up.

If he was not so old, I would fear that this would be the end of Democracy, but I dont think he has it in him.
