Biden shakes hands with...

Tradition has that the departing administration cooperates with the new administration. Have you not read the stories about how Democrats are trying to make the transition difficult?
I'm not here supporting Democrats. I remember what people in the Clinton Administration did on their way out. I'm responding to this idea that Biden shouldn't have shaken Trump's hand. To me, yes he should have.

I agree, but I also think trump shows significant fascist tendencies.

I will say, trump has been behaving very well in the last couple weeks. He is not tweeting angry insults or attacking people. He showed up at the White House like a grown adult. I am impressed at the improvement in his demeanor thus far.

Trump can't handle loss. This victory was so complete - especially w/ the House going GOP today - I have a hunch that he doesn't have his usual combative defense mechanisms.

He can't really ask for more. I agree he seems more relaxed and even friendly - I read that Biden's aides expressed some surprise about his demeanor today. He & Biden looked like they were even joking around at one point.

Maybe he can get you idiots out of circulation. That would be a useful fascist tactic but sadly unlike what you predict he probably won't.

Did he call her Hitler the worst mass murder in history? I must have missed that.:cautious:. I mean he did call her stupid. But that is pretty accurate. She had a history of not reading her briefings . She didn't know how to answer questions because she didn't do the homework. She was a party girl at the party university of Howard. As a black woman she just got into a mediocre law school and she flunked the bar the first time around.
You're just another sore winner who's allowing Harris to live rent-free in your head.

You picked a guy who has fifty years' worth of grifting and over 4000 lawsuits in state and federal courts. The s.o.b. even sued his two ex-wives. The guy who rails against illegal immigrants while using them to build his tower and to maintain his golf courses. The guy who even bankrupted his casino. You have to be pretty stupid to destroy a business where the house always wins.

LOL

I've seen conservatives online praising TRUMP for this magnanimous gesture, since Biden tried to put him in jail the past 4 years.

They're really detached from reality. Trump wouldn't do this in 2020 - and it's obviously much harder to do when you're on the losing side.

Kind of a lame thread, but just to address the "gotcha" aspect - I think a lot of Dems fear that Trump will be a fascist or at least the most authoritarian President we've had, and I've heard some fear that this was our last election. But, most HOPE for the best.

I hope that clears things up.
Do you think he will try to prevent free speech on Twitter, and Facebook? Or will he be forcing unproven vaccines on people. Will he be trying to take 2nd amendment rights away? Will he be arresting his number one political opponent? Just asking for a friend.

Who did any of the above? No one was forced to get a vaccine. No one tried to repeal the 2nd.

Do you have proof that Biden ordered the cases against Trump? And he didn't prevent his own son from getting investigated, btw.

And did you just call the vaccine that Trump deserves credit for expediting "unproven"?

Take a vaccine or get fired and lose you ability to feed your family. Take the vaccine or lose your decades long career in the military. Yeah sure no one was forced.

The vaccines given emergency use authorization when people were being FORCED to take them. They were not given approval until 2022 because they were still undergoing testing.

Not until you first provide a quote of Trump calling for an insurrection like you said. Provide that first.
There is no link to stories that Dems are trying to make the transition difficult because I looked it up after you weaseled out. Just admit you have nothing, and are trying to distract from this nothing.

Really? Please given me a quote.
"Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election," Trump tweeted, even after he had heard from many of his top political and legal advisers that he had, in fact, lost.
"Big protest in D.C. on January 6th," he wrote, referring to the day Congress was set to formally certify Joe Biden's victory in the electoral college.

"Be there, will be wild!"

On Tuesday, the congressional select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol laid out their argument that Trump's tweet played a key role in fomenting that day's violence.

"President Trump's tweet drew tens of thousands of Americans to Washington to form the angry crowd that would be transformed on Jan. 6 into a violent mob," said Raskin.
