I heard the same thing. The locals designed from scratch helicopters, built them, and then painted them with Army colors. They trained pilots for those helicopters from the local population, and also taught them to speak with accents from all over the country. Only white locals were involved, but they had special plastic surgery to look like a cross section of America's racial and ethnic identities. They paid them with specially printed local money that looks identical to Federal Reserve Dollars.....
 
The response has ben very good. But Trump and the right will say it was horrible no matter what. Trump started lying about it immediately. He said they were pointing aid at Denm areas. A little thinking shows how stupid that is. Only one president ever did that, and it was Trump. Trump is truly offensive.

Private helicopters were there first. It took a week for the Federal government to send the military to help in Helene relief

They can no longer be used for law enforcement under the Posse Comitatus Act, if they are federalized. That is why during a natural disaster they are always called up by the governor, and then coordinated by the federal government.

It is just common sense not to lose the law enforcement capabilities in a natural disaster.
