It's the same as your right to live, to own property. It's a HUMAN right. The BoR is a limit on government power, not a grant of power to government.

Please explain the numerous occasions comment? Did you mean that you were mugged many times and if you had a gun, you might have stopped the mugging? Of course those muggers probably needed your money moore than you did, anyway, so that your Lib Demo way of helping the poor "Starving" street scum. In Arizona, or Texas, the few street scum that there are just don't randomely walk up to someone and try to mug them, because they might just get Mr. Smith or Mr. Wesson stuck up their butts. I am betting that you are one of those Nor-Easterner gun grabbers, say it ain't so?

you neglected to mention two things......the cops that were there were ordered to hold back for their own safety and the national guard troops that joined were carrying rifles but were not allowed ammo.

Guns just make doing it much easier to accomplish.
 
Everytime someone does something idiotic with a gun, the do gooders want to take guns from people that don't do idiotic things with them.
