not being snarky, it's that I hear alot of people say it's easy to kill with a gun, but these are people that don't realize the skill it takes to hit what you're aiming at. that was all.

Personally, I don't think it's easy to kill, period. To me, it's just common sense that a rash, emotional murder that might happen with a gun might not happen as quickly or easily with something else.

No one is going to be able to stop bad things from happening. You can hide in your house and have an elite security system, but when that meteorite falls from space and rips through the ceiling and the upper floor and buries itself deep in your brain, nothing is going to save you.

My father told me that it's not the bad asses you have to watch out for. He said real bad asses know that they are bad asses and are confident in that fact and so they have nothing to prove. Guy who are whimps, know they are whimps so they have nothing to prove either. It's the guys who "think" they are bad asses that you have to watch out for cause they're out to prove it.

Um, No. Definitely given by the government, pretty much the definition of "rights" there. They're not god given, or freedom given or any sort of fundamental strange inherentness.

When a person is stranded in a desert an angel doesn't descend with a Remmington smooth bore and say, "I'm sorry, your god given rights require me to make sure you have a gun, so here."

When somebody is drowning, the water gives less than no f***s about his "right to life"

The Alaskan tundra does not case about how much you would like to be happy.


I could go on but frankly I'm laughing too hard.

No one gave anyone the right to carry a gun in this nation. That was an inherent right from the first settlers who were armed and carried weapons for many years before the US Constitution was written. Dumb ass.

Ok, I kind of see your point but I would point out that half the "bad asses" need to consistently reaffirm their badassery (See bar fighters and "gangsta's") but I'll agree that when you're out somewhere you don't need to worry about the SEAL in front of you taking a swing at somebody to prove what big brass ones he has.

Because before the constitution, angels descended from the land of Colt, to make sure everybody was armed. You're using the same argument as though if you repeat it often enough it will make sense.

At a distance, maybe, but when you're ten feet away and pointing the gun in the general direction firing until the slide locks back, you're pretty likely to hit something. Kids with guns kill far more than kids with knives.
