What's the matter with the Brits ? Don't they recognize intelligence, gravitas and sincerity when they see it ?

that's pretty cool, I like the way you Brits run Parliament, always entertaining

and it's cool you have Tories that will oppose Boris 'Trump Lite' Johnson, unlike the smarmy RINOs over here sucking Donny's junk on command

He's been flayed by almost every publication across Europe- the UK included. One or two of his immoral ilk have tried to be kind.

Now the prime minister risks getting the election he wants but the result he fears

Looks like he won't get a general election, moon. He needs a two-thirds majority in the Commons for that, and Corbyn chickened out - he won't play unless he gets a guaranteed no no deal first. If they can get that enacted by next week - requiring the govt. to beg Brussels for yet another deadline extension - who knows where we go from there? Johnson won't do it.

Hardly ' chickened out ' is it . Corbyn has the Blond Blusterer in a head-lock. The fool sacked the cream of his own party and invited it himself.

Nobody trusts Johnson. His word has less value than shit. I guess that there won't be a general election until he is trussed up and oven-ready.

It has to be humiliating for your first three votes to fail. I wish our Senate had a backbone.

Yep. There is speculation that Keir Starmer is about ready to put the knife into Comrade Jez. I understand that Starmer won't agree to a general election even if there IS a guaranteed no no deal. But he'll have to contest an election in 2022, and what will people think of Labour by then?

I've voted Labour all my life, but I'm not voting for this shower. It came in with a Keir and it goes out with a Keir - what do you think?

We had McCain.

Too bad he was the only Repug with a spine and a sense of duty.

I think that Corbyn's grass-roots support is massive and that Momentum taps into what is necessary to win an election with enthusiasm and precision. Corbyn- and what he represents -is all that stands between the UK and the worst excesses of Orwellian dystopia. You won't agree- but it's the chestnut tree for those who empower fascism , in the UK and everywhere else.
I'd like to say ' suit yourself ' - but I'll be high on their lists of undesirables.

Six lost votes in succession, condemned by the courts for lying to the queen, crucified by his previous party leader in his memoirs and STILL maintaining that he will drag the whole of the UK out of the EU on Halloween . The Eton boy is a disaster.

Hopes of clean break with EU are nonsense, says ex-Brexit official

A no-deal exit would trigger complex negotiations, argues former top DexEU civil servant

You have Starmer, Watson, McDonnell and Corbyn at each other's throats. Can't see them lasting much longer!!

Johnson's 'bonkers' plan for £15bn bridge derided by engineers

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...an-for-15bn-pound-bridge-derided-by-engineers

Engineering experts have poured cold water over Boris Johnson’s “bonkers” plan to build a bridge between Scotland and Northern Ireland for £15bn.

The prime minister – who first touted the idea of the 20-mile-plus bridge last year – put a price on his proposal for the first time last week, saying it would “only” cost the multibillion pound sum.

Being a nutcase is one thing- but being a dangerous nutcase is something else.

What did this asshole cook up with Netanyahu on the latter's recent London visit ? I feel a shudder of apprehension.

It's a seven-vote failure now - and an ' excoriating ' defeat by the Supreme Court Justices, exposed as lying to parliament and his queen, referred to the police for misuse of public funds and a charge of groping.
' Britain Trump ' is on a roll ! Haw, haw...........................haqw.

Eight-Nil now. Johnson is proving to actually be the clown he projects himself as.

PM sends EU unsigned request seeking Brexit delay

Boris Johnson has sent a request to the EU for a delay to Brexit - but without his signature.

The request was accompanied by a second letter, signed by Mr Johnson, which says he believes that a delay would be a mistake.

The PM was required by law to ask the EU for an extension to the 31 October deadline after losing a Commons vote.

EU Council President Donald Tusk tweeted that he had received the extension request.

He did not provide details of its content, but added that he will now consult EU leaders "on how to react".
