Yamaguchi said they also don't have a motive yet. He said it will be part of the investigation to determine if there was any relationship between the gunman and the people in the store, adding he does not know if the shooter had any connection to any of the employees.
Officials said they do not know what type of weapon was used or if the suspect was wearing military gear.
Earlier today, CNN affiliate KMGH’s helicopter recorded a shirtless man being taken from the supermarket. The man had what appeared to be blood on his arm and right leg and his hands appeared to be cuffed behind him as two officers escorted him away into an ambulance. Yamaguchi said he cannot confirm who this person is.

Yamaguchi said the suspect has not been charged yet and there are no scheduled court hearings right now. Officials said the investigation is in the very early stages and there is still a lot of work to do.

Wonder why he couldn’t release the race of the shooter?

90% of America already knew what it was long before seeing him.

Sorry. It always seem that every time something like this happens, everybody always assume the political affiliations, religions and races of the murderers.

Something like this makes people tense.

The Police Chief didn't say much- But I did hear him say that tactical gear was involved or used by the gunman!

Police chiefs get upset when they loose officers to shooters who often times out gun them and when they are better equipped.

So, that is probably why the chief mentioned it- I mean in his defense of why he said it.

We still aren't sure, but SWAT feared he could be wearing a bomb or they wouldn't have had him strip down to his underoos before they approached him to cuff him.
 
A witness said that the shooter shot a man dead out in the parking lot, and then shot someone else coming out of the door as he was going into the store.
