Because back in the 80's Orrin Hatch pushed a bill through Congress called The Hatch Act, that successfully banned their use.

But every law enforcement agency in the country including the FBI still uses them as part of their investigative process as a way to weed out suspects and figure out which one to look more closely at.

So, what's your point?

It is a complete load of shit

First of all she took the polygraph one week AFTER her letter to Feinstein.

She took the polygraph on August 7 and in her letter to Feinstein said she would be back in Commiefornia on the 10th. Did she drive or fly?

She was only asked two questions basically asking her if she lied in her statement.

She was never asked about Kavanaugh or any details.

And strangely in her statement she never mentions Judge or Kavanaugh last names. Just uses first names

Also her lawyers refuse to release therapist notes she claims corroborates her story

This is all bullshit. Democrats are fucked

Thank God for Trump. A weaker republican would have caved.

This isn't exactly breaking news: Saxe's 1983 report for Congress ended up leading to a nationwide ban on private employers giving polygraph tests to employees, and a 1998 Supreme Court decision banned use of polygraphic evidence in federal courts because "there is simply no consensus that polygraph evidence is reliable."

Bingo.

This should have been handled in closed door session by the committee. And if there was actual evidence—beyond Ford’s unsubstantiated claims, THEN allow it to be considered. If not, throw it out and move on. Without some sort of ground rules future SCOTUS nominations can be derailed just based on claims no one can prove or disprove.

For some, the political temptation will be to turn it in to a Salem Witch Hunt trial. After Kavanaugh gets done with Ford let’s see if he can prove he’s not a Witch.

Only after he's been confirmed or non-confirmed.
ford should file a criminal complaint and only after that let an investigation ensue. If he's indicted and found guilty of attempted rape then he'd have to step down or be impeached.

She is good. One smart woman.

I would love to see her go toe to toe with Avanatti

No one is using it as definitive proof, nor is this a Court, as I noted, it is being introduced to show that Ford's accusation could be real and merits consideration

Question still remains, why does the GOP Senators on the Committee need a lawyer? Isn't it their job to ask the questions?
