BREAKING: Scooter gets 2.5 Years - How does a guy named "Scooter" fare in prison?

Getting back to Scooter, I'd fully support a pardon if he give up the goods on Rove and/or Cheney.

Could you imagine being stuck with a bunch of idiots non stop? I wouldn't care how they looked. My patience for idiots is diminishing year by year. If they are nice idiots, I can tolerate them longer. But I don't think most coke sniffing celebs are all that nice.

Yeah, that's what happens as you get older, year by year, you have less and less patience for fools and idiots. As far as looks go, I eventually got to the point where if a guy is a fool, no matter how goodlooking I thought he was the first time I saw him, I can't see it anymore. Put a brain in a average looking guy, and he can start looking pretty hot. With women, I just don't have friends who are stupid, and I don't want any.

I know what you mean. I feel like a lot of grown men these days are as self absorbed and as vain and into their looks as I was in high school. That's not attractive at all.

"Yeah, I agree. I do think she's pretty, but way too boney, but I'm now convinced that SF does not think she's pretty at all."

Sorry, but the anorexic look does nothing for me. :eek2:

1) Not healthy

2) Not interested in seeing bone wrapped very tightly in skin.

We had this conversation at work a few months ago. We had to pick 10 people to be stuck on a deserted island with, my coworkers chose hot celebrities, I chose scientists, engineers, and basically people that could get me off the island or keep me alive while I was on it.

Needless to say, I was definitely the minority. I'd hate to be stuck with spoiled stuck up celebs - no matter how hot the guys were.
I'd like to have the person most like John Locke...

Good picks.....Jack and Locke. I'd like to have both of them on my island. I'd like to have biologists, chemists and engineers on my island too.

right you are LadyT, the celebs would be an incredibly whiney bunch. About like being at a Republican convention.

I think I'd take da Vinci!

Good pick. Although, I think I'd personally opt for a more modernized scientist or even some type of mechanic. Not that they would be smarter or more interesting, but they'd have hundreds of years of learned and accumulated science on Da Vinci.

which goods are you referring to? But I don't think that his bean spilling will be a stipulation for him getting a pardon... au contraire... keeping his mouth shut will be what gets him that presidential pardon...

Do you really think they will pardon someone convicted of lying to a grand jury and the FBI? What sort of message would that give the country? You have to obey the law but we don't? Is lying one of the defining principles in the Party of Family Values?

and obtw... how would a guy named scooter fare in prison?

No clue... I've never been to prison... but I would bet that not well would be the answer... not well at all...

But it would depend on where he was sent... the judge seemed fairly upset with him... and it looks like he will incarcerate him during his appeal, instead of letting him walk free during it.

Scooter shouldn't have lied to the investigators. It's as simple as that. He did and now he has to pay the price for breaking the law.

The worse part is, these idiots on TV, like Tom Delay who I just saw on MSNBC, yapping about how this was a "travesty of justice". Who are they kidding? What travesty? Bill Moyers had this special a couple of weeks ago, and he had on this man who had been convicted and sent to prison for over 20 years for a crime he didn't commit. (black man of course, you could have guessed I'm sure). And then DNA proved it wasn't him. And the guy was so amazing, not bitter, believed in God, and believed that God was going to free him and clear his reputation sooner or later.

That's a "travesty of justice". And it happens all of the time.
