Yeah. That's true. Actually I saw a picture of her when she was like 14 or 15, I couldn't believe it was her to be honest. She does have a ton of work into making her look the way she does.
 
I have no soft spot for people like Baker. She kind of had to know the bad karma would eventually come back around on her.
 
She actually seemed like a nice lady when I've seen her. what did she do that would earn her no sympathy whatsoever?
 
Well, I admittedly don't know a whole lot about her, but from what I saw on a 'reality' show she was on, she seemed like she wasn't all that judgemental and that she accepted people for who they were. She's certainly not someone I'd have not one iota of compassion for given her state.

you know that... I know that too... I wonder how many of the party faithful do? I'm guessing very few.

Have you seen just how despicable some elected republicans are? Party of Family Values.... yeah right... but in all fairness to the democrats... they don't CLAIM to be the party of family values.. that's all republican all the time so when they are shown to be anything but... it's newsworthy.

You know what, I think I'm wrong. It wasn't her with the shoes. I'm not sure.

I really don't know much about her either. Maybe the guys will explain why they feel this way, I have no idea.

Lady T.... I agree that she seems very accepting of people... she is just MORE accepting of their money. Her and her husband fleeced so many people out of thier money just so the Bakers could live in their mansion with a nice high lifestyle. I simply think they are, as US put it, parasites on society.
 
Darla... I think you are thinking of Imelda Marcos.... she was the former first lady of the Phillipines... until her family fled when her hubby was overthrown. The country was very destitute at the time and when they saw her closet she had a bunch of fur coats, dresses and like 1000 pairs of shoes... at the tax payers expense... needless to say, the people of the Phillipines have no love lost for her.

As for the Bakers... my contempt comes largely because...

they were tv evangelicals.... always preaching about giving to "the lord", living modestly etc... all the while Jim and the queen of Maybeline were living it up in a huge mansion.

In fairness... as a former Catholic, that was one thing that bugged me about the Catholic church as well... Pope living in the vast luxury of the vatican etc.. while the church constantly told us how we should live modestly... blah blah blah...

No worries. You have a lot of "republicans are evil" items that are more current that you have to keep track of and Jim and Tammy were products of the 80's... so certainly understandable. :)

LOL, Oh I remember the shoe lady!

As for Tammy, I didn't realize she was as heavily involved as her husband. I still feel bad for her though. She was very sweet on the show I watched and everyone adored her - even the druggies, drunks and whores ;)
