Yeah I don’t see this as a silly story, I see it as a frightening one. This is Mcarthy stuff. This is, name names. Because they made one comment about the chief hitler.
There is a way to fight this. These bridge tournaments must have corporate sponsors. I’m going to see some time today when I can, where to start with the phone calls. Tolerate this, and they’ll be telling you to name names, or else, soon enough.

It really does harken back to the Dixie Chicks. I'm still amazed by the reaction to that - the boycotts, the threats & the rest of the insanity.

I've never seen anything quite like Bush worship. And it's even funnier, because he's such a boob...
 
Yeah the Bridge compitition is big political news. What Friedman has to do with this I have no idea but wouldn't expect anything less from an anti intellectual as yourself Darla.

Have no idea what Gore has to do with old ladies and Bridge but other than I disagree with many of Gores positions I wouldn't accuse him of "killing millions" and really have no ill will for him and I'm convinced now that Clinton wasn't a great president but better than Bush.

He has about as much to do with it as Friedman. Hence the "/sarcasm off" portion of the thread. I also wouldn't seriously accuse him of killing millions.... and yes, Clinton was better than Bush.

Darla, I've debated many intelligent liberals and socialists in my day. People I disagree with but respect cause they at least understand and can releate their position. You are just not one of those people.
 
Man, I forgot the strange combination of pompous & vacuous that Obfuscate achieves when he posts. Reminds me of tinfoil/stirfry.

This story isn't about a bridge tournament. It's about an atmosphere of persecution & fear when it comes to criticizing anything "Bush."
