It is the large democrat run cities that are destroying this country.
Just the cities.

Federalist Trumper who hates State's Rights. Sad.
Not the first time you've attacked State's Rights, Terry.
California is only hurting themselves here. They are also, in a sense, acting as a bully using their large economy to force their decisions on other states like they did with pork recently.
Why ship anything to or from or through California? They don't want trucks.
They want pollution free trucks. Not the same thing.

You really need to get out more.
Agreed. State's Rights. Laboratories of Democracy. Their choice. I oppose Trumpers and others seeking to empower the Federal government to unfuck them for their own good.
Why are you against State's Rights, Terry? When did you turn against traditional conservative beliefs? You want the Federal government to impose rules on States that are economically successful? WTF, Terry?
I'm not. But California does have an economic impact on the US as a whole. If it as a state suffers a serious economic decline, would it be another "too big to fail" or do we just let Cali become the world's biggest Detroit?
Nice dance, Terry, but you consistently push how awful other states are. Often implying or outright stating they are a threat. What is your final solution for the "California problem"?
How can you honestly say you support State's Rights, Terry?
Disagreed, as your constant whining about the Lefty states indicates.Yep, I support states rights.
I think we could start by saying that each state has the right to set it's own policy and law on abortion, don't you agree?
Disagreed, as your constant whining about the Lefty states indicates.
Like slavery? Taking the rights of women to vote? No. I disagree that States have a right to strip Americans of their unalienable rights you often seek to do.
So, you think abortion is an "unalienable right" do you? Slavery was a states rights issue that came to a head, not because it was being outlawed but the Southern states realized they would be in the political minority in the future on that issue.
Women's right to vote has a federal issue with in it, namely national elections. So, it rightly can be legislated at the federal level. Abortion has no national component. It is an individual choice with a local provider. Thus, each state should be free to set their own laws and policies on it.
Unlike you, I think people have a right to do with their own body as they choose to do. Only fucking morons think a zygote should turn women into second class citizens. If a woman wants an abortion or a drug addict wants to kill themselves with heroin, I support their right to do so.
You seek to impose your sense of authority over them, Terry. I believe they have unalienable rights and God-given Free Will. Why do you support subjugating them, Terry?
California has passed another greentard law requiring half of all new heavy trucks sold there (the big commercial and construction kind) to be electric powered by 2035. I can see trucking and construction companies, wherever possible not registering vehicles in California to avoid this law. That will kill off truck sales of that kind likely entirely by 2035. Why go electric when you can simply register your fleet in another state and avoid Cali's law?

I don't know why people are having such a hard time realizing that the world is changing- Or even why we are politicizing the fact that the world is changing.
But America has had it's heyday of hopping up into their V8 gasoholic Trucks that you could walk under and play with the gas tank!
God! Am I glad I am not having to pay for the gasoline for one of those BIG TOYS anymore. Now, understanding that a man has to make a living and a lot of them use these incredible vehicles to bring the bacon home. But, the truth is, most of them are just expensive toys for bragging rights, and OH YES and very convenient, versatile, and fun to drive as well.
So, I understand, these thangs are going to be hard to give up for most men. Don't you just love the sound of the V8 with that flowmaster exhaust system- IN FULL STRIDE? I know I do! Sort of reminds me of another expensive toy of mine- my Harley Davidson. SO, I'm with you guys on not wanting to just let go of all that just to save the planet.
But that is not really what this is all about really. What we are talking about here is how the world will be in 12 years from now. And I doubt seriously if I will even still be here in 12 years.
To deny what's coming is a fool's game. And to think some political party is going to somehow change our future, or to be able to hang on to the past is really just a distraction from the reality that we will all have to change some of our ways, just to be able to keep up with what's coming whether we like it or not.
Here is the deal, if electric cars are not for you quite yet- DON'T BUY ONE.
But, electric cars are here to stay, are rapidly becoming more popular every day, and all of your negative energy is not going to change that fact.
That is why these electric car HATE threads are basically hilarious to me! And all this hatred for California, Chicago, and New York is really starting to get old as well.
My God- Is there anything you people don't hate?![]()
From your own article:
"The heavy-duty truck rule has already been adopted by six other states — New York, New Jersey, Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts and Vermont — all of which were waiting for permission from the Biden administration to enact it."
It's not just California and it's the right thing to do.
Let the red states choke on their own CO2
Don't expect it to go any better for them...
As for CO2. If CO2 were taken as a percentage of the population of the US, it would amount to 132,400 people out of 331 million. Equally distributed to the 50 states that's 2648 people per state. Nobody's going to choke on CO2... EVER!
