Can Ted Cruz to the White House in 2016?

It will be pleasant to remind the naysayers of this thread and their posts in it if Cruz is elected....

President Cruz....President Cruz...has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

100% guaranteed that you won't have to wait long to find that he's completely out of the question now. How about a couple of months before the Republican mainstream take him down completely. You're out of your rabid mutt mind kid.

I wonder what kind of relations President Cruz would have with our neighbors to the north?

So, just more insults, no point or response? Obama... Born in the USA, Cruz... Born elsewhere. Obama.... Mother was an American, Cruz... Mother was an American. Obama... Father foreigner, Cruz... father foreigner.

What justifies the hype about Obama and inoculates Cruz from such hype? Because he has an R next to his name? Because he is white? What?

This discussion must have been hysterical here on the forum.

Do you know that a lot of people cited Reagan as a reason why Mitt Romeny would win back in 2012? Then he lost.

My point was, "He's a joke and the only way he'll get there is..." tends to be proven wrong as many times as it is proven right. People are "guessing" because they think he looks funny or something.

Reagan was "an actor" and "laughable", etc. a "joke"... and that was among people like Winterborn who would normally vote R (along with the dems too, of course). What you think might be "laughable" may still win.

How many times do I have to tell you this; it is not an insult. An insult is based on a false assertion for no other reason than to hurt someone's feelings. When I call you a dimwit, it's because you really are a dimwit. You make remarkably stupid assertions and fabricate incredibly false strawman claims. This is what a dimwit does!

Now compound this with the fact that you have your entire head up to your shoulders shoved up Obamas butt; that constitures stupidity.

I can't make this SHIT up dude! ( excuse the pun)

Twit.

P.S. the truth inoculates Cruz; lies define Obama. But you're a dimwit; how could you possibly comprehend this?
.

She was "Deshrubinator" when she was calling out the bush lies.

You mean when she was fabricating lies; dimwit.

Desh is the most vulgar, uninformed, lying, repugnant trailer or trash you will find on any forum or this planet.

One has to be equally repugnant to defend such stupidity and thank it.

Good point. Other than Ms. Darla Double-Standard, have any of the libs here ever remonstrated with Desh?

But let a conservative use insulting terms, and, well, that's not acceptable!

Did they? Who were these people and how did they think Romney was similar to Reagan? I'm a long time fan of Mr. Reagan, read his autographed books and listened to his talk show every morning long before he was a candidate for President, and I saw little similarity. He most certainly lacked Reagans charisma, humor and humility.

So do tell, who were these pundits?

The mistake Republicans made in their political calculations with Obama was what a powerful draw being a first black President was for the sheeple regardless of the economic malaise he has reaped. My guess is, after four more years and full implementation of Obamascare, Goofy might be a viable candidate. Eight years of economic malaise is hard for even the most brazenly brain washed sheeple to ignore.

If GWB can get elected, Cruz could Waltz into the White House.

Where it as a badge of honor. LOL

I look forward to getting groans from Dupe, I mean Dude. They day they turn to thanks, I will be worried.

You have to wonder how anyone from any political spectrum can thank a vulgar asshat like Desh; proof the forum contains a lot of brain dead dimwits devoted to a leftist cause with only one course; Detroitism.

GWB was infinately better qualified than Obummer who basically walltzed in with ZERO experience running anything.

But I keep forgetting, you're a hyper partisan dimwit with your head shoved way up Obummers ass.
.
That said, even a buffoon like Obummer was better than the dumbest man in America...:shivers: Al Gore. I think I had recurring nightmares years later realizing how close the sheeple came to electing, what can only be described as, a true blue idiot.

But then, I have similar nightmares hoping that Obama will survive his term to prevent the second dumbest man in America, O'Biden, from grasping the reigns of power :double shivers: Hell; I'd take the fucking bullet to prevent that disaster from occurring.

The fact that the sheeple would elect Obama, a lesser stupid, with O'Biden, a greater stupid on par with you Jarod, on his ticket proves their supporters to be low information. it's tantamount to playing Russian Roulette with a loaded pistol.

But I digress; with a dimwit nonetheless.

Carry on.

Do you know that most people thought that of Reagan back in 1979-1980? Then he won.
Reagan was homey, and folksy and exuded confidence. He had the benefit of going up against Carter's "malaise"

Cruz exudes snake oil - he's new in politics (unlike Reagan) has nothing to offer but his kamakzi lead of the Tea party or his whiney bad looks.

He's emmitably forgetable, except when he's hogging face time on the Floor.

Honestly he is nothing like Reagan, he's good at marginalizing his base; Reagan was good at inclusiveness thereby expanding his base.

"Reagan Democrats" ring a bell?

Proof?

Not of the resignation, but of the "disgrace" part.

I'm not looking for the mud that was flung, but any mud that actually stuck.

Waiting...

Here's the mud that stuck.

"...It’s accurate for Romney to point out that Gingrich had a long-running ethics problem while serving in Congress. As we’ve written before, the case primarily involved a course at Kennesaw State College that Gingrich taught while in Congress. The organizers of the course solicited financial support from "individuals, corporations and foundations," promising that the project qualified for tax-exempt status. But the ethics committee concluded that the course was "actually a coordinated effort" to "help in achieving a partisan, political goal" -- something that would run afoul of its tax-exempt status. A further problem for Gingrich was that during the investigation, he submitted letters from his lawyers for which "the subcommittee was unable to find any factual basis." Gingrich "should have known" that the information in the letters "was inaccurate, incomplete, and unreliable," according to the ethics committee.

The allegations were largely adjudicated by January 1997, with Gingrich agreeing -- in what amounted to a plea bargain -- to pay a sum of $300,000 and admit that he had "engaged in conduct that did not reflect creditably on the House of Representatives." The settlement of the charges won approval from the full ethics committee by a 7-1 margin, and the entire House passed the ethics report 395 to 28, including by a 196-26 margin among Republicans.

He became the first speaker in history to be sanctioned in this fashion by the House. (Here’s a time line of the full case.) The episode caused damage to Gingrich’s reputation -- but it did not, by itself, lead to Gingrich’s departure as speaker."

He will not get the vote because his appeal is only to the Tea Party fringe, the right of the right.

Cracks me up, them talking about how brilliant he is. If he were a brilliant liberal they'd be whining that he was an over-educated elitist without the common touch.
