Don't care was made to care as my mother used to say.
Think the drug cartels care?
Passed by legislation in 2024OTTAWA, Dec 16 (Reuters) - Canada's government on Monday proposed C$1.3 billion ($913.05 million) for border security after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump threatened tariffs unless Canada reduced the movement of migrants and drugs into the United States.
The border funding proposal was part of the mini-budget, or fall economic statement unveiled on Monday. Trump has threatened 25% tariffs on all exports to the U.S. from Canada and Mexico.
but we will not stand by for this type of action to be taken
The money would go towards Public Safety Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency, the Communications Security Establishment, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police," the statement said.
The statement said the government intended to introduce legislative amendments to the Customs Act to grant Canada Border Services new authorities to inspect goods destined for export.
U.S. border patrol apprehended more than 23,000 migrants near the Canada-U.S. border in the 12 months ending in October - more than double the previous year. That remains a fraction of the 1.5 million apprehended near the U.S.-Mexico border in that time period.
And when did they implement this PLAN?Passed by legislation in 2024

Trying too hard to defend Trump. And when did they implement this PLAN?
This is just an observation, neither pro or con Trump. He seems to be a master at directing the narrative.Ask Mexico. According to several news articles posted ITT, their troops haven't been absent from the border, as trump makes it seem. To me it seems like the number of troops at the different borders ebbs and surges.
They announced that weeks ago!
That is true. He plays his supporters like they're fools. This is just an observation, neither pro or con Trump. He seems to be a master at directing the narrative.
HaHa!And when did they implement this PLAN?
Before or after the election? Are you going to tell me they would have passed this and spent 1.3 billion on border security if Harris had been elected? Not even you could be that stupid.Trying too hard to defend Trump.
The fact is that the deal was made under Biden.
trump caved. Canada bolstered the border when Biden was POTUS. They just let the man child take credit for it, because world leaders know the best way to appease a baby with a dirty diaper.
LOL. Because they areThat is true. He plays his supporters like they're fools.
You know The Canadian Power companies should increase the price of power they sell to the US 30% or MORE and then watch what the US consumers do. ( remember they won't be able to get power from any where else )I think so. And there was this:
The day after Trump announced his tariffs, a Canadian energy company said prices will go up for its U.S. customers
President Donald Trump signed executive orders Saturday to impose tariffs on America's top trading partners, and the very next day a Canadian energy company said its U.S. customers will see higher prices.
- President Donald Trump's tariffs on Canada include a 10% duty on energy products, which are consumed by many Americans in northern states. On Sunday, a Canadian energy company said its U.S. customers will see price hikes because of the tariffs.
Am I seeing things or are tariffs the silver bullet to basically every problem? Did you hear that Panamá is rubber-stamping everything Marco Rubio requests, i.e. locking up their border with South America and not renewing China's contracts in the canal? (I realize that isn't so much a tariff thing, but I'm guessing that Panamá just doesn't even want to go there).I had seen that Mexico already caved as well (before Canada did).
It isn't enough. Mexico needs to double that figure. What does that have to do with the fact that Mexico already have 10,000 troops at the border?
That's right, you still think you can read minds. The fact that you still have never gotten anything right hasn't clued you in to anything.Trump doesn't care.
Trump wins every time. The TDS-infected never learn this; they just keep saying stupid things forever.Looks like trump got the compost scared out of him, when he saw the list of tariffs Canada was going to slap on us.
I see that you are still trying to figure out to contribute in a value-added way.[no response - reflex copy-paste of a stupid meme deleted]
You're in denial. Sorry I cannot help you.I see that you are still trying to figure out to contribute in a value-added way.
