CDC recommends flu shots for every kid in America born till age 18

like i said. time and money. these people are by no means mistake free however. you are you own best advocate for yourself. Always get multiple opinions and do your own research before you go thru any medical procedure.

My teacher once told me about a person that bought a dissertation for 10K.

That person doesn't have a job.

Absolutely. It is not that hard, at least for someone of my ability. :) Seriously, I have two cousins who have PHD's and they are off making the big bucks. That's just it, they're off.....not here.....had to move. I refuse so I stopped at my masters. No use going through the trouble or putting out the money if I am not willing to move. That was 20 years ago and I don't regret it one bit. But there is no doubt that I could have gotten a PHD if I had wanted to invest the money and the time.......and I'm not all that smart.

Naw, it'll be alright. That post was seriously elitist and I'm sorry for it.

This is just a recommendation by a random CDC panel, not a requirement, and it will probably have no overall effect. I've personally never had a flu shot. I've only gotten the flu like once 10 years ago. It's not a big deal to me because I don't live in crowded conditions.

In Jersey they are making it a requirement.

LOL have you ever looked at the requirement for getting a PHD? You basically have to write a 500 page book of pure research at the end of the study. It's not easy at all.

I've known several people who held ph.ds in my life. Of the two I have known best, one was a long-term bf and remains a friend, and one is a close friend. In my personal opinion and only based on my personal experience - they think on a completely different level. A ph.d is nothing to be scoffed at as far as I am concerned.

were they medical phd's or academic?

Seriously..I would move or just flat out break the law. I am still in awe over how they can require a vaccination for a non-deadly disease knowing full well that it can cause more harm than good for some people.

I have also known several phd's...both academic and medical, and have worked side by side with some. They are no different than most above average intelligence people. The only difference I noted was that they seemed to be more anal. :D

you would be part of the 1 in 100 adults in jail statistic and become an inmates girlfriend

who's your doctor??? haha, that's an LA response

Don't laugh Cawacko, me and my two closest friends have started a PR/communications business together. We're doing really well too, especially for three women just starting out in a business. So what do you think we talk about? How we have to start socking some money away for upkeep. Boob lift, one of those "lifestyle face lifts" you know, the works.

When you are pushing 40, and actually one of them is in their 40's, you are thinking abotu that. But, my bf says he will leave me if I ever have that kind of surgery. that doesn't take it off the table though.

My wife's entire family are PhDs...

When I was first getting to know them we would hold conversations, the end of which they'd always ask me where I had gone to school for my Doctorate. They were inevitably surprised when I told them I haven't got one....

:D

Well, these two people are way smarter than me, and I found them way more interesting to talk to than the average person. Maybe I am just stupid, it could be possible. :)

Do you find that they think and talk at a bit of a different level than say your average undergraduate degree holder?

If I ever decide to stop having abortions and actually carry a child to term, I'm getting a tummy tuck and liposuction right after the birth.
