The dumb twat is also in denial that there is no difference between the transcript of the address and the audio version of the address. At first she said she wouldn't make a comment about it w/o being able to read it. So several of us provided the transcript, which she did not read. Now she insists that everyone must LISTEN to it to "understand" it. Christie has asked her several times to spell out the difference(s) between written and audio, which difference does not exist. Toxic ignores it and insists that she's right and everyone else is wrong. Period.

My good friend's dad was a professional boxer like myself,
served in the military during WWII,
but his main job for years was with the city sanitation department.

He retired with a pension in his early fifties,
much like I did,
but then he went to college and law school and passed the bar.

He never had a big practice after that,

but the man sure impressed the fuck out of me.

The assistant NFL commissioner put out an immediate response after the speech- "The opinions of Mr. Butker do not agree with or are they in line with the opinions of the NFL".

Why do you think the NFL would make such an immediate public statement after the speech?

I do not follow all of the Commencement Exercises of all the colleges out there. But I do watch the sports news on my local channel, and this was the sports news on the evening news. So, after hearing of the news, I turned over to CNN, and CNN played the entire video of the speech!

And even though some of the speech was great, it failed after it broke out into an Evangelical Sermon on Gays and Women-Staying-In-Their-Place.

I was watching my local evening sports, and the sports story of the day was Butker's speech, and the NFL making the public statement following the speech. I switched over to CNN and watched the speech for myself.

Everything was going fine until he went off into a rant, and put a guilt trip on the Lady grads for pursuing their educations and careers instead of becoming a man's wife, BAREFOOTIN' IT, SQUIRTIN' BABIES OUT, an' COOKIN' DINNER- LIKE THEY SHOULD BE!

Regular people are sick of the politicization of everything, esp. religion. Young ppl in particular want no part of it. This is a good thing, IMO. It's sad though for those Christians who truly believe and who truly walk the walk and don't just preach at others. Esp. in small rural communities like we live in, churches and their parishioners are essential to helping those struggling with poverty, substance and domestic abuse, and other misfortunes. These good folks truly do exemplify the teachings of Christ.
