There is a lesson here for anyone Trump threatens

When President Donald Trump launched his trade war on the world, he issued a stern warning: “Do not retaliate and you will be rewarded.”

China ignored the warning. It was rewarded anyway.

This morning, Trump largely suspended his trade war in return for nothing but promises of ongoing discussions. There is a lesson here for everybody Trump threatens, whether countries or businesses or universities.

Such a great negotiator. Bwahahaha!

He freaked investors out there for a short time. Then everyone realized that he's full of bullshit and hot air and would cave. And so he did. Our investments are back up to where they were when Pres. Biden left office. For now. We'll see what fresh hell the #MangoMoron wreaks next.

Yep. I'm pretty sure that he's been besieged by panicking, anxious (R)s worried about next year's mid-terms, too. Hence his sudden veering to the left to get prescription drug prices down. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when a govt. imposes price controls on private corporations, isn't that socialism? Fascism? One of the Reichwing's boogeymen?

Just imagine if Biden or some other (D) POTUS proposed that.

I actually agree with the #MalignantMoron on this. Medicare and other health insurance companies would save literally billions if we were being charged the same for medications that are far less expensive in other countries, esp. those with national health care plans -- which is most of the civilized world.

Well as I said yesterday I thought Trump was holding off on telling us what was in his great deal so that the market would go up and up then when he gave us the real info it would come back down and from what I see that is just what it did.

Six months ago not only would MAGA morons have howled that was socialism, but the act of a dictator who bypasses the legislature.

His first reign of terror taught world leaders that he's just a petulant child.

Back then they knew that if they stroked his ego they could get what they wanted. Now they're taking a different approach. Those in a position of power now employ standard anti bullying measures. They simply remind him that there is a very delicate economic balance in the world, due in large part to our gluttonous borrowing practices.

trump never understood this concept, because daddy always bailed him out of his incompetent business ventures. After that, trump simply defaulted on his obligations.

trump has tunnel vision. He cannot see anything but his own reflection.

I honestly believe this is all a massive scam to line the pockets of his billionaire donors. The market swings earn them billions.

He destroyed Obama's Iran deal, so they took leaps forward in their nuclear program.

Now he's 'negotiating' with them, and will claim credit for any reduction in Iran's nuclear program.

He's the firefighter who starts a fire and is the first on the scene to bask in the glory of being a hero.

I don't know if POTUS can achieve this via EO? In the past, it was Sinema who blocked every attempt by Dems. to lower drug prices.
