Christian Family Values?

Never heard of "The Intercept", but The Atlantic is a well known commie rag. I would no more accept their story than you would accept something from Brietbart, or The Gateway Pundit.

You sure are ignorant. The intercept is adversarial journalism that tackled tough subjects.

The Atlanta is NOT communist.. They have been around over 100 years and they are in depth articles.

You have never read either.. I'm sure World Nut Daily is your go to news outlet.

you call the Atlantic the Atlanta and accuse HIM of not reading?......

The Atlantic: A History - The Atlantic

The first issue of The Atlantic Monthly appeared in November of 1857, and the magazine, which billed itself as a "journal of literature, politics, science, and the arts," was an immediate success.

Excerpt:

We would like to think that the magazine our readers are getting today is, at least in its tone—in its stance toward the world—similar to the magazine that James Russell Lowell and his friends first brought forth. The Atlantic Monthly's Declaration of Purpose, which was printed in its first issue, went like this: "In politics, The Atlantic Monthly will be the organ of no party or clique, but will honestly endeavor to be the exponent of what its conductors believe to be the American idea.

It will deal frankly with persons and with parties, endeavoring always to keep in view that moral element which transcends all persons and parties, and which alone makes the basis of a true and lasting prosperity. It will not rank itself with any sect of anties: but with that body of men which is in favor of Freedom, National Progress, and Honor, whether public or private."

One thing that The Atlantic Monthly is not is an antiquarian enterprise, a museum piece. In 1995, we won the prestigious National Magazine Award for Reporting and were nominated for National Magazine Awards in the General Excellence category—the magazine industry's top honor—and in the fiction category.

In May of 1993, we won that coveted National Magazine Award for General Excellence. In 1988, we won three National Magazine Awards, more than any magazine had ever won before in a single year.

Our staff is young—on average, about 35. Our editorial gaze is fixed not on the past (though we respect it) but on the beauties and horrors, the steps forward and back, of the modern world in all its awesome range.

They are no threat......... This is just drama and chaos.
Not really. It’s an example of why most responsible politicians, including the majority of Republicans, view the populism used by Trump to appeal to the lowest classes by demonizing the poor, immigrants, ethnic/racial minorities and foreigners, for popular support as being grossly irresponsible. There is no doubt that appealing to the fears and resentments to the uninformed lower classes is a tried and true, though certainly cynical, political method to gain political support but these are the consequences of such irresponsible political behavior. Real human beings are harmed needlessly.

As if the plight of these immigrants isn’t bad enough. This isn’t enforcement of the law. This is what tyranny looks like.

And don’t think that tyranny can’t be turned against you if it becomes politically expedient to demonize a group you get lumped into.

When did the USA become a THEOCRACY?

:dunno:

Dominionists want to abolish separation of Church and State. That's their deal. Trump has gravitated towards them and the prosperity doctrine... Ted Cruz is one.. lots of TV preachers are dominionists ..

Why don't you learn to effing READ? The Atlantic has NEVER been "communist".

thank you for your opinion.....I will cherish it always.......meanwhile, I expect the comment reflected "communist" in the commie, pinko, extremely lib'rul sense rather than the seizure of all private assets by the government sense....

Well, Trump did say he wanted Americans to respond to him as if he were Kim Yong Un. Somebody needs to remind him daily that he's NOT a king.

And yet it is the Leftists that are demanding we become a Theocracy, ... that our gov't ignore our laws and replace them with Christian or Islamic theology.
