I was a big fan WWII aviation history books growing up and branched out to a lot of military history, but mostly the 20th Century and a bit of the Civil War.

How long have you been a fan of the American Revolution?

I discovered as a kid my father’s copies of Arundel and other Kenneth Roberts books of the period and from there I developed an interest in American history generally. I like reading. McCullough has many really good books. My favorite may be The Great Bridge, amazing story of the building of the Brooklyn Bridge.

I'd never heard of Roberts, but he was a prolific and popular writer. My favorite in historical authors is Walter Lord with "A Time to Stand"(Alamo) being my favorite followed by "A Day in Infamy" and "Incredible Victory"(Midway).

My first verbal presentation was the battle of midway in 7th grade US & VA history class. Still remember my poster wobbling in my hands as I tried to speak because of nervousness.
