Climate predictions

You guys are the goddamn fundamentalists. You probably still doubt fucking gravity, and you sit on your asses and murder your children, knowing full and well what's happening to the world, just using these lies as an excuse to save yourself some money, no matter what kills your children. You people have blood on your hands, and I'm glad you fanatics are no longer listened to in our government.

YOu know what I love about Water, is that he is like me, except that I have self-control and never post this stuff.

Well, there is certainly plenty that HAS come true, though that is rarely acknowledged, including disappearing/bleaching coral reefs, melting Arctic ice sheet, melting Antarctic ice sheet, faster spread of tropical diseases, habitat loss, more extreme weather and drought.

To me, it no longer matters. The debate is basically over because a fairly large contingent of Americans on both the left & right agrees that we need clean, renewable domestic sources of energy NOW, for security & economic reasons; the idea of AGW has nothing to do with it. We can debate it for fun, but it doesn't matter.

And Obama is going to invest $150 billion toward that end, and there really isn't anything anyone can do about it.

I am less concerned that you troll and more concerned that you troll only once your meager attempt at an actual argument has been challenged at the slightest. I can say with complete certainty that I have debated many intelligent environmentalists who have made much better arguments than you have, and they certainly haven't resorted to this.

The best way to weed out political talking points from people actually invested in finding out the right answer is to compare them to the religious right: It works every time.

You're right, we do need domestic renewable resources. Regardless of global warming, even.

This thread is less about that and more about expressing doubt on whether or not global warming exists and whether or not even if it does exist that it is a cause of people's activities.

But people like Watermark go into defensive troll mode every time a view has been challenged, and that's what's really been brought up here.

Hey guess what guys... I was watching the History Channel last night. They were promoting a program called Armageddon and discussing that the Earth would... would... mind you not could, be hit by an asteroid again with devasting effects.

My guess is the hit will occur long before Global Warming destroys all life on Earth.

Now, does that mean that I believe we should just continue to let things go as they are and let temperatures rise without doing anything to protect the environment? Hell no, but it does mean I'm not going to panic about extremely slow increases in Global temperature which may or may not be affected by man and which appear to be cyclical throughout the history of the Earth.

Besides, I'm sure Jesus will return long before we have to worry about Global Warming. :)
