CNN —

President Joe Biden will leave office with his approval rating remaining at the lowest level of his term and his favorability rating close to his personal low, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. Americans broadly view Biden’s four years in office more as a failure than as a success, with his administration doing little to turn around persistent negativity about the state of the country generally or about its economy.

Overall, 36% of US adults say they approve of the way Biden handled the presidency, matching his previous low mark in CNN polling during his term, with even fewer rating his performance positively on immigration (31%), foreign affairs (32%) or the economy (33%). His strongest issues in terms of approval ratings still prompt net-negative results, with less than half saying they approve of the way he protected American democracy (46%), handled environmental policy (44%) or dealt with health care policies (43%).

Biden’s favorability rating, a measure of personal feelings rather than job performance, stands at 33% favorable to 58% unfavorable, just one point off his previous low in CNN polling since he became vice president under Barack Obama in 2009 (he reached that 32% in June 2023). His favorability rating has been mired in the low 30s for much of the past two years.

He is an absolutely horrible human being.

JImmy Carter is a happy man.

The efficacy of a presidency is measured by his effect on the populace.

By every metric, the populace is far worse off than when Biden took office. The 32% favorable figure and the election have proved that the populace feels that they are worse off after Biden’s presidency.

The historians who are, for the most part, very liberal, will disagree but the people spoke on Election Day and they are the ones who count.

Biden’s rating will go up down the road, most President’s do, especially when his infrastructure and chips acts take full effect, overall, he’ll rise to a C+ President, ranked in the middle of the 45 Presidents

I don’t care if he rises to #3, A*, just behind George Washington and FDR, which is where “historians” now place him.
Just glad he’s gone.

No they don’t, he’s roughly mid twenties now, and probably rise to low twenties, and as I said, once his infrastructure and chips acts start to blossom Americans will have a more favorable view of him

Not in history, voters also elected Buchanan, Harding, and the dozen plus Presidents who turned out bombs

I think he’ll always be remembered for being the only president in history that had dementia his entire term.

Carter was only the worst president of the post WW 2 era. Biden didn't quite reach Buchanan's level of fucking up since he didn't start a civil war... But it wasn't for lack of trying!
Carter started a Civil War? You got FDR packing the Court and Carter starting a Civil War?

Your understanding of history certainly isn’t the norm

^^Worst President in my lifetime. ^^

Biden was a great President. That America prefers a felon and fascist to be President may be the end of our nation.

Biden was so pathetic that his own party did not want him to run again.
