Colleges Wonder if They Will Be ‘the Enemy’ Under Trump

Can you share an example of the alt right claiming they will replace American universities?
You may not consider De Santis to be alt-right but check this out.

"New College of Florida, the small liberal arts college historically ranked among U.S. News and World Report’s top 75 institutions, has fallen 24 places. Now it risks dropping out of the top-100 category entirely.

This double-digit tumble is due in part to Governor Ron DeSantis’ overhaul of the school to transform it into a decidedly right-wing institution—a “Hillsdale of the South,” in reference to the conservative college in Michigan. DeSantis appointed right-wing activists to the board of trustees, replaced the college’s president and other administrators with political allies who have no experience in higher education, and gutted one-third of the faculty along with the diversity and equity department. The board has even relocated students to hotels to accommodate incoming athletes’ use of campus living spaces."

Whether I did or didn't it doesn't changes that colleges and universities are answers. Why do think how far I may have gone in school has any bearing on the issue? If I'm an asshole how does that mean you are a retarded inbred donkey fucker?
Hume is in awe of people that made it past the 3rd grade.

Interesting. I have to admit I've never heard of this school so googling it and reading and I saw some articles trying to counter this narrative about what is happening there. That said, if it's truly an attempt at an ideological takeover and they ultimately run the place into the ground then they should be called out for it.

Without getting into the weeds there have been issues at our Universities for awhile and they were exposed for all to see last spring during the protests on campus. But what stands out are the number of liberals who have commented/complained about what's happening to our top schools, that they have lost their purpose. There are always going to be fringe people that say things but there are a lot of people that think change is needed.

It remains to be seen what Trump proposes/does but leaving him aside I'm glad this discussion is out there and I hope this discussion occurs in a serious manner.

So liberals are dropping its rating I'm shocked.

I know, I know. It's hard for you to stay awake during uncomfortable adult conversations, isn't it little guy? Go ahead and finish your nap. Here's a juice box and you can watch Dora the explorer for 1 hour when you wake up, ask your mom first. (Hurry. Dora might get deported soon)

Mr. Trump has said he thought that colleges needed to be reclaimed from “Marxist maniacs,” and his running mate, JD Vance, has described universities as “the enemy.” (Both men attended Ivy League institutions.)

Harvard has an endowment of $50 billion dollars. Telling them, and other universities, No more federal money for you! Seems like a smart thing to do. Let Harvard subsidize their students. They have plenty of cash on hand to do it.

At the current rate of federal money going to Harvard, it would take at least 80 years to empty that endowment if it never earned a penny or got a dime more than it has now. You want to hate on America and teach radical Leftist crap to your students to radicalize them politically? Do it on your dime, not the public's.

So, no money for Harvard.
