Covid Follies #52: the Fauci Faux Pas

It is flu season too. Some countries encourage masks if you are feeling badly during flu season. The people do not feel like their rights are being taken away by their being considerate of others.

It's like this: the MAGA minions shanghai'ed this issue for political leverage. They attached their patented hype & exaggerations.

Some people in NYC were wearing mask for years before Covid....you'd see them peppered among the pedestrian traffic on the streets and in the subways. Given the annual flu seasons and general bad hygiene & sanitary practices of the general population, I never could call them paranoid or hyper sensitive. So when the Covid mask mandates came about, I personally didn't see it as a big deal, but rather common sense to a degree.

I had Covid to the point of hospitalization for a month. It killed my mother, damned near killed my father. Yet, I have no problem with some places still enforcing the mask mandate, although I believe at this stage the mutated versions are more again to bad flus, and there are enough alternative treatments coupled with natural immunity to handle the situations.

I also respect the rights of those who feel they don't have to wear a mask in public. BUT, they should abide by the mandates of private facilities that serve the public.

And the band played on.

I am very sorry. My condolences.

This indicates bad quality thinking if you think this is a medical or safety measure. But perhaps you like them used as obedience training, preparing humans for life in UTOPIA.

I can see how he'd think it was a medical or safety measure, I just don't agree that masks help at all with Covid 19, unless air pollution is part of Covid 19. Even then, it depends on the mask being used, as many masks are actually harmful to the lungs in and of themselves:

There are other drawbacks to masks in general as well:

I seriously doubt Taichiliberal thinks this at all. I don't see why he can't genuinely believe that masks help prevent Covid 19 "infection". I just don't believe he's right.

I have Hawkeye on my ignore list for obvious reasons, so I only see his posts if people not on the list respond as you did here.

Let me clarify: I believe that the mask mandate is generally effective if you happen to contract a disease that can result in coughing or sneezing. The generally distributed mask protects me from you. If you want to be protected from air borne particles, a "painters" mask that could be bought at a good hardware store is the ticket. Then again, that doesn't protect your eyes.

I definitely don't agree to the damn near constant public wearing of a mask that was "suggested" by health authorities and such...to me, common sense would tell you it can restrict breathing to a degree that can only increase with time.

Hope this clarifies my previous post.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarifications and I fully agree that common sense suggests that keeping a mask over one's face restricts one's breathing, despite the numerous claims to the contrary. Also other issues with masks that I brought up in the post you're responding to.

Yep, if the geniuses in charge had said, "if you feel cold or flu symptoms, or have allergies, please wear a mask in public spaces" along with the hand washing, staying home until you feel better or determine doctor's appt or ER visit, etc., etc., things would have gone better. Instead, you have extreme, sometimes panicky views on both sides of the issue, "official" actions that caused more harm than good, and a host of other things we could list. Hopefully, sanity and logic along with common sense will prevail over political huckstering, big pharma greed and medical establishment pride.

We complied with COVID martial laws for years, and even now when the truth of how we have been abused is out there is remarkably little anger at how we have been abused, and our overlords are in fact doubling down with the WHO treaty.

Your hope will not come to fruition.

:palm: You either are expressing ignorance of all my posts and threads these past YEARS here, or you are just another stupid MAGA troll who doesn't have the intellectual/moral courage or honesty to accept the reality that we agree on something.

Go fuck yourself, Entitled Man.

No more "entitled" than you, ya braying jackass! We're BOTH on the net and posting here...that means we have time and money to do so. A lot of folk don't have that, ya know. Couple years I didn't.

Bottom line: you're just another intellectually impotent MAGA troll who can't handle a debate beyond a certain point, so you babble like you do here. No point in my further entertaining your nonsense. Adios.

I've been working since I was 12, and have never been unemployed. Never been fired. Never took any GovCo handouts either. I doubt that you can make any of those claims.

So take your bat and ball and run home crying, like usual. :rofl2:
