Shaken, not stirred!
It is flu season too. Some countries encourage masks if you are feeling badly during flu season. The people do not feel like their rights are being taken away by their being considerate of others.
It's like this: the MAGA minions shanghai'ed this issue for political leverage. They attached their patented hype & exaggerations.
Some people in NYC were wearing mask for years before Covid....you'd see them peppered among the pedestrian traffic on the streets and in the subways. Given the annual flu seasons and general bad hygiene & sanitary practices of the general population, I never could call them paranoid or hyper sensitive. So when the Covid mask mandates came about, I personally didn't see it as a big deal, but rather common sense to a degree.
I had Covid to the point of hospitalization for a month. It killed my mother, damned near killed my father. Yet, I have no problem with some places still enforcing the mask mandate, although I believe at this stage the mutated versions are more again to bad flus, and there are enough alternative treatments coupled with natural immunity to handle the situations.
I also respect the rights of those who feel they don't have to wear a mask in public. BUT, they should abide by the mandates of private facilities that serve the public.
And the band played on.
